A story about putting the spotlight back on illustrations I hadn't published [Generative AI / AI Illustration / AI Utilization / AI Creation / Generative AI]

Good morning. This is Kinu.
Thank you for coming to visit.

Today is a slightly lighter record of my creative work.

There were some illustrations I had created previously, but somehow missed the timing to publish.

It's not that I didn't like them, but
they didn't fit the flow of my posts at the time,
or I felt the atmosphere was a bit different,
so they were works that ended up being shelved.

However, this time, I used those illustrations again and converted them into flat pop-style illustrations using ChatGPT.

The trigger was a post by a creator I know and respect, who shared their prompts.

◆ Prompts I borrowed

This time, I borrowed Mugi-san's flat pop-style prompts and used my own shelved illustrations as reference images to convert them into a new atmosphere with ChatGPT.

They also published a detailed explanation, which was very educational for me✨

◆How to use

The method is very simple.

Just upload a reference image (original image) to ChatGPT and enter Mugi-san's prompt.

This time, I used an illustration I created previously as a reference image.

By combining it with a flat pop-style prompt, I was able to create an illustration with a significantly different impression while still retaining the original atmosphere.

◆The fun of reviving works that never saw the light of day

What was good this time was that I didn't just leave the illustrations I made in the past as they were, but was able to use them again as a different expression.

Even works you've already created can reveal new charms when used as reference images or combined with different prompts.

Even for illustrations I thought might be hard to post,
changing the art style can suddenly make them fit my current mood.

The fun of AI illustration might not just be in the finished product,
but also in the ability to re-edit past works or nurture them into a different form.

◆ Trying out other creators' prompts

When I create prompts myself, I tend to lean toward the words and atmospheres I like.

However, when I try out other creators' prompts, I sometimes realize,
"So that's a way to combine words"
or "Adding this specification changes the impression this much."

This time, Mugi-san's prompt helped broaden my perspective on flat pop expression a little.

I felt that it is important to be exposed to other people's expressions in order to cultivate my own worldview.

◆ Gallery

From here on, I will post some of the flat pop-style illustrations I made this time.

The neon colors are quite strong, so you might want to ask, "Is this flat?" haha
These are my favorite illustrations.

In conclusion

This time, I used an illustration that I hadn't published as a reference image, borrowed Mugi-san's prompt, and used ChatGPT to convert it into a flat pop style.

Even works that were shelved can be brought back into the spotlight by combining them with different prompts or art styles.

I think this is one of the fun aspects unique to AI illustration.

Moving forward, I want to continue my prompt research little by little, not just by creating my own prompts, but also by learning from the expressions of various creators.

Mugi-san, thank you for sharing such a wonderful prompt✨
