Qualities Required for Business Leaders
The other day, someone asked me,
"I imagine you meet many different business leaders, but are there any characteristics that successful or potentially successful leaders share?"
They asked me this question.
They asked me this question.
I support business leaders every day, but I had never really thought about this before, so it was a good opportunity to do so.
What kind of characteristics do they have?
Characteristics as far as I know
I have met many different types of business leaders.
There are those who manage large companies on a rotating basis,
those who started their own businesses at a young age and grew them significantly,
those who started a venture as a young person but were ousted and had to flee,
those who rode the trends of the times to expand their services,
those who left a large corporation to become independent and realized the weight of a company's brand based on their past experience,
and those who utilized their parents' assets to achieve success in new businesses, among others.
There are many different types.
Among them, there were the following characteristics common to those who were successful.
Listen until the end
Use good words = Do not use bad words
The word 'failure' does not exist
Listen until the end
It is the attitude of listening to the end, no matter what the story is.
First, I listen seriously to the whole story without interrupting.
Their subsequent judgments and pointers are extremely sharp or quick.
They never listen with a half-hearted attitude or interject with questions in the middle.
It means accepting it first.
People who lack confidence will argue or talk over others, but that is likely being seen through.
First, have them tell the whole story. It goes without saying that they are thinking about counterarguments, pointers, and judgments during that time.
Use good words = Do not use bad words
It appears that they are extremely careful with their choice of words.
I think it is also because of the influence of the words they speak and the large number of people they interact with, but they take responsibility for the words they speak and use them carefully.
The busier and more excellent a business leader is,1the less time they have to interact with people.
Therefore, the words they speak undergo various transformations within the other person.
So, in order to have the other person act without misunderstanding,
it is overwhelmingly more common for them to use simple, good words.
Also, because they are in the habit of rephrasing bad words into good ones, they are simply interesting people, and because they are interesting, people are drawn to them. It seems like their circle of people never ends.
The word 'failure' does not exist
Even for events that are generally considered failures, they do not think of them as failures.
Although they accept the results as facts, they always try to learn something from them.
If the result is different, they learn from it1and connect it to the next step, continuing to act until they definitely produce results. I think that is why they succeed.
I have organized the three characteristics, and they are truly remarkable.
I have thought about the qualities of a business leader, so please use this as a reference.
