For those in the darkness of a dead end
Why do my husband and I run an acupuncture clinic specializing in atopic dermatitis?
It is because
For those who are deeply troubled by severe atopic dermatitis or skin problems,
but do not want to give up on themselves,
for such people,
to inform them of a way to fundamentally improve,
we continue our work.
Acupuncture treatment brings about incredible changes to a patient's skin.
This is something that even the clinic director performing it is surprised by.
In order to improve skin damaged by medication,
continuing to use strong irritants like steroids or moisturizers
only causes further damage,
and will not lead to improvement.
Acupuncture treatment
is simple and straightforward to perform,
but it is not what you would call a 'quick fix'.
(After all, it is because of 'quick fix' methods that things have worsened.)
However, acupuncture
changes things from the inside of the body,
so while it is gradual, it definitely leads to change.
Try to remember when you were a child.
Even if you fell, scraped your knee, and it bled,
the wound would close up in a night or two, wouldn't it?
Yes, that natural healing is your body's natural healing power.
Your skin is quite exhausted from the overly strong stimulation of medication.
It looks that way, and your heart is also completely exhausted.
That is because your internal organs are in extreme confusion due to steroids.
The skin, which is the frontline organ, has been thoroughly beaten down,
and since it is in a state where it has almost lost the important function of conveying information from the outside to those internal organs, the sympathetic nervous system remains in a state of constant tension.
To improve your skin, the first step is
to stop adding any more irritation
which means not using any medications or moisturizers.
And then, to awaken the power within your body
that is what acupuncture and moxibustion are for.
I have come to think that perhaps only those who can "feel" that awakening power
are able to continue
with the acupuncture treatment at our clinic.
It is a subtle change, but it is truly changing.
People on the outside say it is getting worse, but I can tell it is getting better.
Everyone who continues says things like that.
People who can tell they are getting better.
People who can look within.
I provide treatment for such people.
And
I also know that those who do not want to give up
carry the thought of
"I must get better for someone else's sake."
It is not just for themselves.
They are people who want to get better
for the sake of someone else.
That is precisely why I want to stand by them.
