"You're a Dalcroze Eurhythmics teacher, but you also teach English?"

I sometimes get asked that.😊

Actually, while I work as a Eurhythmics instructor, I have also been teaching English to junior high and high school students for over 10 years.

I don't do any flashy advertising.
I have been able to continue this long thanks only to word-of-mouth from students and their parents.

And today is the day the Eiken results are announced.

Since this morning, happy reports have been arriving one after another.✨

High school students passing Grade 2 and Grade Pre-2.
Junior high students passing Grade Pre-2 and Grade 3.

Everyone, you all worked so hard.

I don't have the abundant teaching materials or systems that large cram schools have.

But because of that, I have made it a priority to face each student individually, considering their personality, strengths, weaknesses, and goals.

A child who was bad at English and had lost confidence.
A child who felt frustrated because they couldn't get results for a while.
A child who continued to work steadily while balancing it with club activities.

Each one has their own story.

That is why the report of "I passed!" has more meaning than just a test result.

Children overcoming obstacles with their own strength and accumulating successful experiences of "I did it!"

Being able to witness those moments is truly a joy as a teacher.

Both English and music are jobs that increase the number of "I did it!" moments for children.

I want to continue supporting the growth of children while cherishing each one in front of me.
