Flat-Footed Washi Paper [Weekly Short-Short Note]
"Mino, what's wrong?"
"We can't understand you if you're crying."
"Echizen..."
Coat and Kent are comforting Mino. It seems Echizen said something to him.
"What did he say?"
"Tell us about it."
"Flat-footed..."
"Flat-footed?"
"He really said that?"
"...Yeah."
Echizen is characterized by long, intertwined fibers and a unique surface unevenness. In contrast, Mino is characterized by fibers that are neatly intertwined both vertically and horizontally, making him uniform and smooth.
"That Echizen, he's getting full of himself just because he's called the king of paper."
"Well, he is used for banknotes and has high status."
"He's looking down on me..."
"That flat, smooth surface is your best feature, Mino."
"Besides, we're flat-footed too."
"But Coat has a beautiful gloss and can print photos, and Kent is loved by artists as a drawing material, aren't you?"
"We'll vouch for your quality, Mino."
"It's guaranteed."
"But..."
Coat and Kent got fed up with Mino moping around forever, so they splashed water on him and wiped him clean.
