I decided to go hiking up Mount Nikko-Shirane with four friends from my university days.

The conversation flowed easily at the start.

"What will we do if a bear appears?"
"I forgot the bear bell!"
"You guys, sing something."
"Something like what?"
"Like the Devilman theme song."
"I don't know that one."
"No one knows, they must not know~"
"You do know it!"
"Why are you singing the ending theme?"
"Sorrow, trembling sorrow, that is, a parting song."
"What's that?"
"It's Gundam. Soldiers of Sorrow!"
"Come on, go, lift your face up."
"Galaxy Express 999!"
"Are we sticking to anime songs?"
"Are we sticking to the Showa era?"
"What were we talking about again?"
"Bears."
"What do we do if one shows up?"
"You shouldn't turn your back and run."
"You have to back away slowly without taking your eyes off the bear."
"If it were me, I'd take it out in one shot."
"Take what out?"
"I'd blast it right between the eyes."
"You'd get countered, wouldn't you?"
"Who do you think I am?"
"Who?"
"Hydrangea Boy."
"Hydrangea Boy?"
"I'm the strongest boy in Asia."
"Sure, sure."
"That's right."
"You're the strongest."
"I am the strongest~"
