Archive Freezing [Weekly Short-Short Note]
A large quantity of ancient documents stored in a stone coffin was discovered in the Alps. Who transported them deep into the Alps, for what purpose, and how, remains shrouded in mystery. Because the documents were frozen, they are in excellent condition. Carbon dating suggests they are from around the 15th century, and they are believed to contain information that turns the common knowledge of that time completely upside down.
"Why did you reveal the location of the stone coffin?"
"If they force my mouth open, I won't be able to eat anymore, will I?"
"But you said we had no choice but to accept the torture."
"Well, I just changed my mind."
"Either way, we were destined to be executed..."
"Steps have been taken to ensure our faith is passed on."
"Is that true? What are the chances of it working?"
"The chances are extremely low."
"That's wonderful. It's worth having hope until the very end."
"Heh, the end, is it?"
A portion of the frozen ancient documents has been deciphered. Although religious law forbade gifts from women to men, a record was found of a woman handing chocolate to a man.
Tch.
