Talking about structures. But during commercials, I'm just a lady removing lint.
Regions, welfare, labor issues.
Lately, I've been talking about big structures more often.
About invisible work.
About fields that are rarely rewarded.
About people caught in the gaps of the system.
Even though I was talking about such things,
I went back to my parents' house, ate dinner,
and during the TV commercials, I was removing lint from a Ralph Lauren knit sweater.
This is who I am.
I care about the big picture.
But I also care about the lint on the clothes right in front of me.
Perhaps I am not so much a person who wants to change society,
but rather a person who first wants to tidy up the 'little things that bother me' right in front of me.
Whether it's lint on clothes,
an unspoken sense of discomfort,
or work that is left ignored and invisible.
Once I notice them, I want to tidy them up just a little bit.
A person who articulates structures.
However, during commercials, I'm just a lady removing lint.
