📚229: Something those who struggle with conversation should be aware of! Other-centered communication

🟠 Prologue 🟠
- Introduction -
Hello, this is Tochamin.
I usually read for about 30 minutes a day.
In doing so,I have condensed the things that left an impression on me and the insights I learned
into tips for living!
I hope they are useful in your daily life too♪
This time,
it is about communication techniques
to change your fear of conversation!
* Please also take a look at this article for the reasons why I continue reading and what I learn (^^)!!
🟩 Chapter.1 🟩
- Reading Details -

🟥 Chapter.2 🟥
- Speak with the other person as the subject -
People who are liked speak with "you" as the subject,
while those who are not speak with "I" as the subject.
What people are most interested in is themselves.
Therefore, speaking with the other person as the subject
means drawing out the person they are most interested in,
which makes it easier for the other person to open up smoothly.
People who tend to speak with themselves as the subject
are, for better or worse, self-centered.
Because they have energy,
it can also lead to
forcing their own things onto the other person.
Good conversationalists
do not focus on what they want to convey, but
focus on topics centered on the other person.
By doing so, after the other person has opened up,
if you speak little by little about what you want to convey,
your words will start to get through to the other person.

🟦 Chapter.3 🟦
- Responding with "So" -
To ensure the other person can talk in a good mood,
the important thing is
to accept whatever the other person says without denying it.
And then, after satisfying the other person's feelings,
start conveying what you want to convey.
When accepting what the other person says,
using the keyword "So" (that's right/I see)is
effective.
Example)
That's right, I see, is that so
So that's what it is, etc.
These are all
words of empathy and affirmation toward the other person.
Just by putting "So" at the beginning of a conversation,
it leads to the other person being able to talk more happily.

🟣 Epilogue 🟣
- Summary of this time -
Through my reading on this day,
I learned communication techniques
to change my fear of conversation!
Do you ever find yourself
talking only about yourself during conversations?
What people are most interested in is themselves.
That is why people who are liked
use "you" instead of "I"as the subject
when they speak.
By making the other person the subject,
it becomes a trigger for them to open up!
The secret is to speak about what you want to convey
little by little after the other person has opened up💡
And the magic keyword to make the other person feel comfortable talking is
the word So!
"So true," "That's right," "I see."
These words express empathy and affirmation toward the other person.
That is precisely why the other person feels
"they are being listened to,"
which makes them feel happy to talk.
This one word seems like it could be the lubricant that enriches human relationships✨
If you
"feel uncomfortable with conversation..."
or think "I want to be liked more by people!"
why not try this other-centered communication?
