into tips for living!

Chapter.2
- Pros and Cons of Role Allocation -
Role allocation within a team has
the following pros and cons.
[Pros]
・What needs to be done is clear
・Responsibility is clearly defined
・Easier to focus energy
・Can utilize expertise
・Can prevent slacking off
[Cons]
・Easily become indifferent to things outside one's role
・Becomes a cause for shifting responsibility
・Mistakes easily occur at the boundaries of roles
・Stop doing work outside of one's role
・If someone cannot fulfill their role, the whole
system falls into dysfunction
Looking at it this way,
don't you feel that you have many experiences
with the cons?
In the first place, the reason for allocating roles is
to achieve goals efficientlyand
we must not forget that the purpose is not just to fulfill one's own role.
Example)
In soccer, the goalkeeper's role is
to "protect the goal"
→ The team's overall goal is "to win the match"
→ Even if the goal is protected perfectly,
it is meaningless if the team does not win
⇒ Depending on the situation, the goalkeeper
may also attack
Recognizing that roles are connected,
it is important to coordinate while being conscious of team goals
beyond the boundaries of roles!
Chapter.3
- Respect and Hesitation are
not synonymous -
Within a team, it is not good to be too considerate
of each other's careers and pride.
This can lead to the pitfall of being unable
to have serious discussions.
Respect and hesitation are not synonymous.
If you cannot distinguish between them,
you cannot create a sense of unity even if highly capable people gather.
As a result, you end up finishing without achieving the expected results.
The idea of "staying silent to avoid making waves"
may look like behavior that respects teamwork at first glance,
but it becomes a factor that prevents the diversity of members from being valued,
and it can be said that it constitutes a "teamwork violation"!
Epilogue
- Summary of this time -
Through reading on this day,
I learned a mindset for achieving team goals
by crossing the walls of roles!
When it comes to role allocation in a team,
it's easier to focus on the cons than the pros,
or have you ever experienced things like,
"I become indifferent to anything outside my role..."
"It can become a cause for shifting responsibility..."?
😱
However, the real reason for allocating roles is
to achieve goals efficiently.
Like the goalkeeper example,
it is important to act while being conscious of the team's goals,
sometimes crossing the boundaries of your own role
depending on the situation.
Don't you find that very convincing?✨
And, respect and hesitation are not synonymous.
Within a team, don't you ever find that you
are too considerate of each other's careers and pride to have serious discussions?
"Staying silent to avoid making waves"
is actually a form of "teamwork violation" that ignores diversity,
or so they say.
Even when highly capable people gather, the reason there is no sense of unity
might be because they cannot distinguish between this "respect" and "hesitation."
Doesn't this seem like a good opportunity to rethink human relationships and the way teams should be?
If you
"want to strengthen team collaboration!"
or "want to build true teamwork!,"
why not try this approach to role division and communication techniques?
