Failure is where the value lies.
What I always think about my daughter
I hope she fails quickly.
While I can still watch over her
While I can still offer her words of support
I hope she fails a lot.
For most things
Until she realizes
That it's going to be okay.
I want her to build the strength to bounce back from that.
I want her to build the strength to rely on those around her.
Among the painful things about being with my ex-husband,
what I still remember even now
is the memory of him not letting me fail.
I want to try it myself.
It's okay if I fail.
Because I will manage it on my own.
"Let me fail, too!!!"
I would scream in my heart
If I don't gain insights from failure
and change
I will stay the same forever
just going around in circles in the same place
I start to avoid failure as if it were something bad
and taking on challenges becomes increasingly scary
It's okay to fall
because I will get back up
because I want to be someone who can stand back up
and to confirm that for myself
"Let me fail."
I always thought that
I often show my daughter my failures.
I often show my daughter my failures.
On the way home from daycare,
I try talking about things that didn't go well at work.
My daughter's eyes as she listens to that are
more serious than usual.
And then my daughter says,
"I see."
I love this so much.
It's nothing more and nothing less than that.
It's okay.
Even if you fail,
most things
will work out somehow.
I'd be happy even with just a comment saying, "I read it." Please feel free to leave one♪
