[LUNA STUDIO's Training System Revealed!] Why You Can Confidently Debut as an Instructor Even Without Experience!

Estimated reading time: 8-10 minutes

From no experience to a gymnastics instructor!?
We are introducing LUNA STUDIO's "serious training system" that supports such challenges in its entirety!
We cover everything from preparation before hitting the floor to support after joining the company✨

Hello! This is Kinoshita from the LUNA STUDIO PR team (@LunaStudio_HR)😊

Believe it or not, about 90% of the instructors at LUNA STUDIO had no prior gymnastics experience!!
"I wasn't particularly good at sports, but I love children," "I was worried if I could do it, but I decided to take the challenge"—people who jumped in with those feelings are now active as instructors who confidently lead their classes.

How is that possible? It's because LUNA STUDIO has a "training system" that we have meticulously crafted.

In the world, there are many cases where companies claim to have "extensive training," but when you actually join, there is almost nothing to it. However, LUNA STUDIO is different.

"What, how much, and in what order do you learn before going on the floor?" "Who supports you and how?" "When you encounter difficulties, at what point are you followed up with?"

We have verbalized all these elements and designed them into a system.

This time, we are revealing LUNA STUDIO's "Instructor Training Program" in its entirety! We hope you can experience the "reasons why you can grow with peace of mind even without experience"✨

🔰 2-Day Employee Training Immediately After Joining!

Day 1 | Intensive Course to Learn the Basics

On the first day, you will understand both kids and junior classes, and learn step-by-step from stretching to basic techniques, and then to intermediate and advanced techniques. It is designed so that you can thoroughly master not only how to provide assistance but also how to interact with children and ensure safety before standing on the floor.
(5 hours 25 minutes + 2 on-site lessons)

▼ Kids/Junior Class Lesson Video (10 minutes)
Watch a video of an actual lesson scene. You will grasp the overall atmosphere by checking how instructors interact with children, the movements for assistance, and the timing of verbal cues.

▼ Kids Class (Total 55 minutes)
・Kids stretching (up to assistance) role-play (15 minutes)
・Bridge explanation/assistance (5 minutes)
・Handstand (stomach/back) assistance method explanation/practice (15 minutes)
・Kids up: Understand monthly content and learn the flow of assistance (20 minutes)
Conduct kids stretching, bridges, handstands, and warm-ups in a role-play format. We emphasize not only assisting with movements but also "creating an atmosphere where children can have fun."

▼ Kids Technique Training/Assistance (Total 50 minutes)
・Forward roll: Assistance and instruction method (15 minutes)
・Backward roll: Assistance and instruction method (15 minutes)
・Cartwheel: Assistance and instruction method (10 minutes)
・Basic gymnastics/athletics: Basics of assistance positioning and support (10 minutes)
Practice assistance methods for basic techniques such as forward rolls, backward rolls, and cartwheels. For each technique, you will learn in detail about "points where children often stumble" and how to support them.

▼ Junior Class (Total 30 minutes)
・Junior stretching/bridge/handstand: Role-play with assistance (20 minutes)
・Junior up: Confirmation/assistance of monthly content (10 minutes)
Conduct role-plays for junior-level stretching and warm-ups to develop the ability to handle children with higher physical strength and flexibility.

▼ Junior Basic Gymnastics Training/Assistance/Support (Total 30 minutes)
・Learn assistance methods for forward rolls, backward rolls, straddle forward rolls, straddle backward rolls, extended-leg backward rolls, handstand forward rolls, cartwheels, reverse cartwheels, one-handed cartwheels, one-hop cartwheels, one-hop round-offs, running cartwheels, and running round-offs.
While comprehensively checking basic techniques, you will train your eyes to spot movement habits and mistakes, and develop assistance skills to address them.

▼ Junior Technique Training (Assistance/Instruction Method) (Total 2 hours 30 minutes)
・Master handstand forward rolls, handstand directions, cartwheels, one-handed cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, back handsprings, backflips, side aerials, round-off back handsprings, round-off backflips, etc., while actually assisting and instructing.
Thoroughly learn intermediate to advanced techniques by demonstrating and assisting one by one. You will master not only how to provide assistance but also perspectives on verbal cues and safety considerations for both "children who can do it" and "children who cannot."

Day 2 | Application & Comprehensive Skills Edition

On the second day, you will step up to more practical content. While honing your ability to use equipment for assistance and handle high-difficulty techniques, you will also learn how to "conduct yourself on the floor" as an instructor.
(4 hours 30 minutes + 2 on-site lessons)

▼ Kids Class Stretching Execution & Review (20 minutes)
・Practice executing the stretches performed at the beginning of the lesson. In addition to accurate instruction and assistance, we focus on tempo and how to energize the environment.

▼ Vaulting Box Training (Assistance) (20 minutes)
・Learn how to assist with techniques using the vaulting box, such as leapfrog and forward rolls on the box. We also explain tips for safety checks during take-off and landing.

▼ Horizontal Bar Training (Assistance) (30 minutes)
・Learn practical skills ranging from basic hanging to high-difficulty techniques like the back hip circle. When using equipment for assistance, 'force control' and 'support positioning' are crucial.

▼ Junior Class Stretching Execution & Review (20 minutes)
・Through stretching, practice providing verbal cues and support tailored to each child's flexibility and physical condition.

▼ Trampoline Training (Assistance & Instruction) (1 hour 30 minutes)
・Learn how to assist and instruct on straight jumps, tuck jumps, straddle jumps, pike jumps, half-twists, reverse half-twists, full twists, reverse full twists, dive rolls, and front somersaults. Refine the precision of your assistance while facing the difficulty of supporting movements in the air.

▼ Junior/Teen Class Training (Lesson Explanation & Demonstration) (1 hour 30 minutes)
・Through demonstrations, comprehensively master everything from lesson flow, assistance, safety considerations, and building relationships with children, to instructing stretches, bridges, handstands, warm-ups, and basic gymnastics techniques (handsprings, back handsprings, back somersaults, etc.), assuming high-level technique practice for teen classes.

🎤 Voice of a New Employee (Joined in July, No Gymnastics Experience)

“Honestly, I was very anxious at first. I had never taught gymnastics before, and I didn't know how to interact with children. However, thanks to the initial two days of classroom and practical training, I learned the basics one by one, such as 'this is how you teach' and 'this is how you should move,' which allowed me to go out into the field with peace of mind.

Even after starting on the floor, my seniors provided careful support through OJT, and I gradually got used to assisting and interacting with the children. There was also a follow-up training session in the first month, and I was grateful that they made sure my 'weaknesses' didn't just stay that way.

Now, I've learned the children's names and have been entrusted with leading lessons! I believe the reason I can work happily every day is because of that training system.”

🌟 Even if you are a beginner, this is a place where you can take that first step.

At LUNA STUDIO, if you 'like children' or 'want to support someone's growth'—we welcome anyone with those feelings.

It's perfectly fine to acquire specialized skills and experience after you join.
Because we have a training system that supports each individual, you can take your first step as a 'teacher' with confidence.

Why not join us and experience the joy of witnessing someone say, 'I did it!'?
