「Awakened」：解き放たれた本能、そして『覚醒』の瞬間
今回は、自分の中に眠っていた本当の感情が目を覚ます瞬間を描いた楽曲「Awakened」です。
これまでは、理由を求め、理屈で自分を納得させようとしてきました。しかし、この曲で描いているのは、そんな「理性」さえも焼き尽くすような鮮烈な本能の目覚めです。
過去の鎖を断ち切り、震える心そのままに突き進む。そんな「解放」のエネルギーを感じていただければと思います。

この曲は、自分自身を縛り付けていた「こうあるべき」という固定観念や、過去の重縛から決別するために書きました。
サビの核となるフレーズ、「Honest feelings rise above（素直な気持ちが湧き上がる）」。 実は制作の過程で、より歌としての響きを整えようと「True hearts rise above」や「Pure souls rise above」へと一度書き直した経緯があります。
しかし、最終的に私はこの「Honest feelings」という言葉に戻しました。洗練された言葉よりも、自分の中から湧き上がる、理性（Reason）よりも強く疑念（Doubt）よりも確かな「剥き出しの正直さ」を尊重したかったからです。
Bridgeの部分では、まだ「プライド」が声を遮ろうとする葛藤も描いていますが、最終的にはそれさえも超えて、曇りのない真実（The truth I feel）へと辿り着きます。
静寂の中にいた自分から、光の中へと飛び出すような、圧倒的なスピード感と希望。 何かに縛られ、動けなくなっている誰かの背中を、この「目覚め」の音が少しでも押すことができれば幸いです。
