Recent Learnings: I don't intend for Emotional Value Conversion to end as just a concept
I talked with a friend for the first time in a while.
Even though it had only been a month, I was surprised by how much things had moved and how I had changed a little myself.
In that conversation, the thing that made me happiest was this one phrase:
"I'm reading your note."
That was it.
It wasn't feedback, it wasn't advice, just that.
But with just those words, I could truly feel that my words were reaching people.
There are moments when just that is enough to save you.
⸻
■ But the next thing they said was even more important
"You've been writing about Emotional Value Conversion a lot lately, haven't you?"
That hit home.
And when I say it hit home, it wasn't an attack.
If anything, it was a gentle observation.
I replied,
"Yeah, well, that's my first invention."
But at that moment, a different voice rang out somewhere in my head.
"Aren't you just giving the 'correct explanation' as an inventor?"
⸻
■ I don't want to create a 'concept'
I'm not doing Emotional Value Conversion to create some difficult theory.
What I wanted to do was:
• Put people's inner turmoil into words
• Convert painful emotions into 'value'
• Move stories forward
That isn't a 'thesis,' it's a 'story about people's lives.'
I felt like T-chan's point was saying this:
"The concept is amazing. But please, pass that 'warmed-up heat' on to us properly."
⸻
■ Today's learning
I am starting to finish 'Chapter 1'.
• Structured it
• Put it into words
• Proved it
• Gave it form
Up to this point, that's the inventor's job.
But from here on, it's different.
From here on, it's the job of carrying it along with people's stories.
I don't want to be the 'person who created a difficult concept,' but rather someone who creates stories that give value to emotions, walking right alongside people.
Today's conversation was an event that gently corrected my course.
⸻
■ Conclusion
I will continue to write about Emotional Value Conversion.
But not as a discussion of concepts, but as stories about people.
I just want to be grateful for today, the day I decided that.
