Tips for Continuous Posting on note ~The Destination Depends on Your Heart~
I should probably change my pinned post soon...
I thought about that around summer, but now it is already the end of the year.
The passage of time is terrifyingly fast.
In that terrifyingly fast flow of time, we are engaging in posting activities on the SNS called note.
Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that you started on note at the summer solstice.
Since the summer solstice in 2022 was June 21st, that would be 197 days until today (January 4th). (Probably lol)
Among those reading this post right now, there may be some who have been on note for less than 197 days.
...By the way, while reading other people's articles, it seems that many people aim for 100 consecutive days of posting as a default setting.
However, although this is a personal inference rather than a measured value, I feel that less than half of those who claim they will post for 100 consecutive days actually achieve it.
The theme this time is to think about the reasons why those who could not continue posting failed, and for those who post beyond 100 days, to think about the mindset for continuation together.
I would appreciate it if you could stay with me until the end.

I would like to thank everyone who has visited.
Please allow me to touch upon my posting activities a little.
My encounter with note was on March 16, 2020.
It started when a friend from the online university I was enrolled in at the time recommended it to me.
Until then, I lived a life unrelated to anything that could be called SNS activity, let alone blogging, and I did not particularly like the act of writing, nor did I recognize myself as being good at it.
It is very passive, but I only thought, 'Since it was recommended to me, I guess I'll try it for now...'
I didn't have any purpose, and I didn't have any goals...
Actually, even now, having continued for over 1,000 days, I have not set any clear purposes or goals.
This is a personal opinion, but I believe it is better not to assign meaning to the act of posting over a long period.
This is because having a purpose or goal beyond just "posting" means that a "finish line" is being set.

As an easy-to-understand example, if you aim to gain 1,000 followers, the day you reach 1,000 will be your finish line.
If your purpose is to disseminate certain information, the finish line is reached when that information runs dry; furthermore, if information you considered useful becomes widely known beyond a certain scale, its value may decrease, and your own motivation may run out.
Even when used as an information dissemination tool for individuals or companies, if the time cost and profitability do not balance, won't that force a finish line?
From a business perspective, it is natural to set KPIs and KGIs for purposes and goals, and since KGI stands for "Key Goal Indicator," it indicates that there is an end point once it is established.
In extreme terms, isn't continuous posting on note a question of "what value do you attach to the consumption of wasted resources?"
The "consumption of wasted resources" here refers not only to time but to all the effort required for posting.
As an aside, recently "investment" and "waste" have been used as contrasting terms for things close to "consumption," but I think it is rare for note itself to be an "investment."
Unless you are an exceptionally talented creator or a contributor with heavenly luck, note, like other social media, will default to being "consumption."

However, it might be necessary to recognize that it is not just "investment = has value," but also "consumption = creates value."
You often hear "lose to gain," but couldn't you also think of it as "lose to accumulate virtue"?
Value exists in many concepts beyond just financial implications.
For me, the value of my posted articles is gaining self-expression and the evaluation of others.
Naturally, there is my own ego involved, but I also try to keep a spirit of gratitude, paying it forward, and giving back.
Isn't it quite difficult in daily life to "accumulate virtue" rather than "gain profit" from someone other than yourself?
The secret to continuous posting.
Perhaps it is not just about your own "mindset," but also about having a "spirit of service" that does not shy away from the effort required to "win the hearts" of those who read your work.
...Though, of course, a "spirit of service" is something that should not be forced upon others.
With that said, thank you for reading until the end.
I haven't decided whether to pin this article or not, but that is all for this post.
