DIY Blade Runner Stamp Rally

In October, Xiborg's new base, livedoor Urban Sports Park, opened, and we held a Runsta Revival Festival. For one of the contents, a Runsta experience session, there was a format where participants went around to try bread-eating races, sports prosthetic leg experiences, wheelchair basketball experiences, social circus, and boccia. I decided to create a stamp rally for it and made it in about 3 or 4 days of actual production time, then installed it at each booth.

Since it was the Runsta Revival Festival, I replaced the background of a photo of athlete Keita Sato at the Todoroki Athletics Stadium in Kawasaki with Runsta, used edge detection and other techniques to create selections by color, and created simple illustrations. Although there were 5 contents for participants to visit, I set the number of colors to 7. This was decided based on the finish of the illustrations and the types of stamp pad colors available. I separated the illustrations by color, created 3D data for 10x10cm stamps for each using CAD, and printed them with a 3D printer.

The finish was better than I imagined, and it became something that many people could enjoy.

This stamp rally has not been used outside of the Runsta Revival Festival and the Xiborg debriefing session, so I am looking for opportunities for it to be used. If anyone would like to use it for an event, please feel free to contact me. If it is well-received, I might turn it into a series this year and challenge not only prosthetic leg runners but also various other sports.
