Day 17: The amount you can sustain, rather than the amount you push yourself
When working,
we sometimes evaluate our day
by "how hard I worked today."
Days when we work long hours.
Work we pushed ourselves to finish.
On such days,
there is certainly a sense of accomplishment.
But, will that way of working
last for a long time?
Even if you can do it for a few days,
it is difficult to continue
for months or years.
The reason many people get tired
is not because they lack ability,
but because they are working
under the assumption that they must keep pushing themselves.
Work is not a sprint,
but a long-distance run.
Therefore, what is important is
not how hard you push yourself, but
how much you can sustain.
Move forward a little every day.
Do not overdo it.
Leave some energy in reserve.
That level of output
will actually take you further in the end.
Great results
are not born from a special day,
but from small, steady steps.
If you move forward a little today,
that is enough.
