[Something Like a Poem] A line that might sound like it's being said by a father-figure character in some movie <<Wind-Blown Literature Club>>
A long time ago
there was an old man like this
he was already quite
senile
and though his legs were weak
every time he stood up
he would fall
repeating it
over and over
When he was lying down
he would often
say the name of his son
who had passed away
young
in his sleep
I asked
his wife
if the old man
had any
hobbies or anything
She said he
often went golfing
So I
turned on a golf broadcast
At first
he seemed to show
interest
but after a month
he wouldn't even look at it
At that time
a typhoon
happened to hit
On TV
for hours from the morning
a weather forecaster
was talking
The old man
was staring
intently
at that typhoon information
And then
I understood
that golf was
what you call
business golf
and it was like
work on his days off
If the rain got bad
and it was canceled
he could be with
his family
and his son
The old man
didn't actually
want to go golfing
Humans
create stories
rewrite them
and then
transform them again
automatically
It's likely
that it's built
that way
If they didn't
it would be too painful
or they wouldn't be able to
stand up
That is
both a salvation
and sometimes
a curse
but whatever
you
create
or rewrite
from here on out
it is you yourself
who makes that
judgment and takes action
That alone
cannot be
rewritten
Don't forget that
Now then
go wherever
you like
and come back
whenever you like
