#OnigiriAction
Onigiri Action is an event where posting a photo of an onigiri
allows you to donate five school meals to
children in Africa and Asia for every photo posted.
I have participated twice in the past myself,
but I had completely forgotten about it.
Hisui-san's article reminded me that I had forgotten,
so I hurriedly started thinking about ideas for this year's post.
Hisui-san's idea was to draw faces on the
plastic wrap covering the onigiri,
but there is no problem with just using regular onigiri.
Goku-san's onigiri is a type of 'onigirazu' (rice ball sandwich).
Even children can make this, right?
I don't think there's any reason not to participate.
But as someone who calls themselves a miniature creator,
it would be a bit sad if I didn't come up with something.
So, how about miniature onigiri?
With that in mind, I decided to try making onigiri
in order from large to small.
That said, this onigiri is made with pesticide-free (reduced-pesticide) brown rice
and is a health-conscious meal with buckwheat groats added.
I cook it because it seems better for the body than white rice,
but you might wonder if it's okay to make onigiri with brown rice.

However, because I cook it twice using the 'surprise water' method,
it actually gets sticky even though it's brown rice!
That's why I can make onigiri with it.
When I actually tried to shape them, the small ones were difficult.
So, even though I thought about adding eyes and mouths to all of them,
I gave up after just one. Lol 😆
Since we can contribute to society through this kind of playful activity,
why don't we all get together and make some rice balls?
