Tenmonkan Mujaki Shirokuma
I've wanted to taste the original at least once...
My long-held dream has come true.

It is the premier entertainment district in southern Kyushu.

and a sense of openness.
Heading to my destination, 'Mujaki'.

Even though it's spring on the calendar, I visited in February.
Even so, every single customer was ordering Shirokuma.
It's like midsummer inside the shop.
Here it comes!

There are mini sizes available, but I ordered the regular.
Seasonal fruits like kumquats and apples, bananas, grapes, canned cherries, mangoes, pineapples, mandarin oranges, and brightly colored agar jelly...
It's colorful and truly artistic!
There is fruit hidden not just on the surface, but inside as well.
And the balance of the syrup and condensed milk is just perfect.
The ice itself is delicious.
It doesn't give me brain freeze even when I eat it.
I've lined up at shaved ice specialty shops several times, but this was the best shaved ice experience of my life.
Observing the shop, there's a family of three and one couple.
The rest are eight individual male customers.
Everyone takes a photo before they start eating.
Then, a group of seven men came bustling in.
They were each enjoying their own Shirokuma.

I ordered this too.

Apparently, it's a famous snack in Kagoshima.
It had a soft texture and was very sweet and delicious.
I discovered something that looked like an eyeball on the surface of the Shirokuma, so I was curious and asked the staff.

That makes sense.
