Showing Sincere Interest in Others and Providing Suitable Tools - Takuramiya TOC
In most organizations,
they love their colleagues
and believe that their colleagues' talents should be unleashed even more.
If their colleagues' talents were unleashed more,
they would see more smiles from customers,
and the company would be more profitable.
As the company becomes more profitable, the employees' salaries will increase,
it will be shared with the local community and suppliers,
and a virtuous cycle will occur in the world.
Nevertheless...
What on earth is the bottleneck?...
■
Takuramiya's project band activities involve everyone leveraging their own unique strengths, meeting on-site, dissolving on-site, and saying, 'See you later!' as they depart ^^
■ ■
I didn't realize our people cared so much about the company.
The reason we can't say what we think is because everyone is too nice.
Because we care too much about others, we stay silent.
It's just that we didn't have the opportunity (for dialogue).
It's just that we didn't have the tools (to think).
I was given many great opportunities to look at myself and the company objectively.
///
I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to talk about things we don't usually discuss, which led to the discovery of bottlenecks I hadn't thought of, and made me realize that I should rely on everyone's strength.

In-house TOC for a famous local sweets shop
The words I received from the successor president and the employees driving the project were truly a feast for my heart...
Takuramiya Boss Hiroe Tokui (Tokuicchi) and I spent two days together
(She is a craft chocolate workshop owner and chocolatier, as well as an MG/TOC instructor)
Shigeo Morimoto (Shige-san) was on-site for one day and supervised the project
(TOC International Jonah certified, MG instructor)
Together with these two specialists, I was given the great challenge of taking on the first lead for the first time.

■
First, the 'power to listen' and the 'power to ask'.
Because TOC is a structure that doesn't work on invisible things, these are the two powers necessary to make them visible.
There are three types of constraints:
- Physical constraints
- Market constraints
- Policy constraints
Physical constraints can be visualized using business flow diagrams.
Since market and policy constraints are invisible, we visualize them using a 'Current Reality Tree'.
At first, if we could identify the root cause of the invisible constraints with a 'Current Reality Tree', we would try to flip it to create a 'Future Reality Tree' for a virtuous cycle, but since we couldn't identify it here, our next approach was to provide DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope) and MQ accounting.
...In this way, choosing the tools to offer now while focusing on the interests and what moves the hearts of the employees was a continuous process of looking at 'what is truly necessary' rather than being program-driven.
■
There were times when the three instructors had different opinions on which program to choose for the second half, and we had intense dialogues using the Evaporating Cloud while keeping everyone waiting,
I often asked myself if there was any 'well-intentioned' meddling or deception in the examples and tools I wanted to provide to be of help.
Do I truly believe in everyone's dormant talents...
It took a lot of stamina to steer toward the true state of being while also acknowledging my own emotions.
That is precisely why...
The radiant faces of everyone when they identified the bottleneck were the best ^^
Only the people on the front lines know what is happening on the front lines.
Only the people on the front lines can deliver joy to customers.
That is why a companion must 'never do anything unnecessary...'
Finally, we created a Future Reality Tree for when the bottleneck is flipped,
and even then, we provided a 'Negative Branch' to identify and deal with side effects that might occur during improvement, and the mission was complete ^ ^

I love TOC.
I am often told that those words don't convey anything, but there is no expression more suitable for me than 'love', and I will continue to use these words for a while ^ ^
'It is physical and natural science, and it is reproducible.' 'By focusing on constraints, you can maximize flow with little effort.'
These may be standard phrases, but they don't feel like 'me' yet.
'Tools and opportunities for thinking that allow people on the front lines to discover their own buried treasures with their own hands, and to spread more smiles from that joy.'
I love this kind of TOC. I want to continue delivering it to those who love their colleagues as much as I do 😊
