Sense of Acceptance
Since I thought that was the right thing to do,
since that was all I knew,
it couldn't be helped.
When you can truly understand that from the bottom of your heart, you feel very calm and gentle.
You might call it resignation,
but it is not a reckless kind of giving up.
It is a "sense of acceptance."
It is not about pretending it never happened,
nor is it about forcing a justification.
Much less is it about blaming yourself for having done it, or for not having known better.
In the process of reaching acceptance, thinking things over might be something you have to go through.
However, it is important not to get stuck at that stage of thinking.
It is not about accepting it with your thoughts, but accepting it with your emotions, with your heart.
A heartfelt sense of acceptance that it was the best you could do at the time.
To be able to cherish, accept, and understand yourself, others, the past, and the choices you made, there may be many paths you have to walk.
