A city that is perfect for solo travel
Here are 5 reasons why I want you to walk around the city of Porto alone
If you are wondering where to go on your trip to Portugal.
I highly recommend Porto.
It was a city that is exceptionally well-suited for solo travel.
1. The entire city is a World Heritage site
Just walking around is picturesque.
The blue azulejo tiles, the cobblestone slopes, and the scenery along the Douro River.
Every corner is so picturesque that you won't be able to stop taking photos.
It is a city where you can be satisfied just by walking, without even looking for tourist spots.
2. The food is delicious
I never expected the rich flavor of the seafood soup to suit a Japanese palate so perfectly.
For seafood lovers, it is absolute heaven.
It is a place where eating becomes the purpose of your trip.
3. It is budget-friendly
When people think of Europe, they often have an image of it being expensive.
But Porto is different. The prices are reasonable, and you can eat plenty of delicious food without any guilt😋
In terms of travel cost-performance, it might be the best in Europe.
4. The people are kind
The locals are incredibly warm.
They smile at you in unexpected moments. If you ask for directions, they will teach you kindly.
I didn't feel lonely even while traveling alone. That was Porto.
5. Relatively good public safety
I would especially recommend Porto to those who say, "I want to travel alone in Europe, but I'm worried about safety."
Even as a woman traveling alone, I was able to enjoy walking around the city at night with peace of mind.
Of course, a minimum level of caution is necessary, but I think it's a place you don't need to be overly afraid of.
Gourmet food, superb views, kind people, reasonable prices, and a sense of security.
It is a city that has everything you need for a solo trip.
That is Porto. ✈️
