First day of cycling to school for my 7th-grade daughter in the special needs class

My 6th-grade daughter with ADHD (inattentive type), ASD, and a mild intellectual disability in the special needs class

First day of going to school on her own. She went without complaining. 😊😌
The 3-kilometer bike ride to school. 🚲️
It took her 40 minutes one way on the first day, and she came home saying her lower back hurt. 🤭

The school has also been helpful by changing the location of the bike rack to avoid her running into students she doesn't get along with. While there are still some things that make me anxious, nothing bad has happened so far, and she hasn't shown any signs of refusal, so I'm relieved. ☘️
