[Love Sweets] #23 A Super Happy Cookie Party
The ES CON Gourmet I had my eye on
I came to ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO for the first time to cheer for the professional baseball Climax Series!
Speaking of ES CON, it is well-known for having an incredibly extensive gourmet selection.
Seafood, ramen, and
Schau Essen hot dogs are particularly popular, but
this was one of the things I was aiming for!

A specialty shop for soft cookies with a new, moist texture As a huge cookie lover, I couldn't miss this!!
I like crispy cookies, but
I also love big, soft cookies.
Taking home 5 carefully selected types
After arriving at ES CON, I went straight to buy the cookies.
Not many people buy snacks first, right? Lol
A unique lineup of over 10 varieties.
I just couldn't choose...
At 520 yen per piece it's a bit pricey, so
I had to be strict with myself and carefully select 5.
After the game, I went back to the hotel to hold a cookie party♡
Moved by a new, never-before-experienced texture!
The first thing that surprised me when I tried them was the texture!
It's moist, yet fluffy and crumbles away easily And the
thickness goes beyond the realm of cookies.
It's like something between a cake and a cookie,
but crispy and crumbly sensations can also be felt,
I was captivated by this unknown feeling...
The flavors are also unique and elaborate.
I'll introduce them in order of my favorites!
1st Place: Speculoos
Believe it or not, it's a cookie topped with a cookie!
And it's my favorite Lotus cookie.
This is a guaranteed winner, but I loved it even more than I expected!
The base cookie contains cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg spices.
Combined with the chunky Lotus cookie on top, it's incredibly satisfying!
I highly recommend this to spice lovers.
2nd Place: Earl Grey
An Earl Grey cookie topped with a marshmallow!
As a marshmallow lover, this one knocked me out too♡
The Earl Grey and marshmallow have such an incredibly gentle flavor,
it's not heavy at all and I could eat it in one go.
3rd Place: Tiramisu
This was the #1 most surprising one!
It's like trapping a Tiramisu cake inside a cookie—
a very mysterious and fantastical treat.
Inside the soft and crispy dough is plenty of rich cream cheese,
and it tastes like authentic Tiramisu.
It's covered in cocoa powder, so it's a bit messy to eat,
but it was a special experience that made up for it.
4th Place: Mont Blanc
As a chestnut lover, I couldn't leave this one out either.
What's interesting is that it's topped with sweet chestnuts!
The large sweet chestnuts have a fluffy presence,
and the whole thing had a natural, gentle sweetness.
5th Place: Rich Tea
Matcha is also a favorite, so I can't skip this one either.
(There are too many things I can't skip...)
That said, I thought I could guess the flavor, but
orange confit was used as an accent, creating a mysterious marriage of flavors I've never experienced before!
The matcha and orange were refreshing and surprisingly good.
A night overflowing with love for cookies and love for the Lotte Marines
By the way, this day was the first game of the Climax Series.
With Roki Sasaki's amazing pitching and two home runs,
it was the best day ever as the Marines pulled off a victory that defied all expectations!
Savoring that joy,

Among the many ES CON FIELD gourmet options,
cookies aren't talked about very often,
but I highly recommend them to any sweets or cookie lovers!
