How to fly the DJI NEO in a dark room
I have been playing with the DJI NEO quite a bit, and I would like to introduce the peripherals I purchased for it since then.
1. Flying in a dark room
Flying in a dark room is unstable because GPS is unavailable and altitude maintenance via vision positioning does not work well. Of course, brightening the room will improve this, but for places like an attic or a dimly lit hallway, attaching a light to the aircraft provides peace of mind.
(1) Attaching a light to the back of the aircraft
Simply attach a flashlight purchased for night flying to the bottom, set it to constant white light mode, and you are ready to fly.

Since it has no landing gear, the light takes a direct impact when landing, so you have to catch it by hand.
(2) NEO-specific lighting
I found a good product while browsing Amazon. It is a lighting unit specifically for the NEO, and as expected of a dedicated product, the fit is perfect.
It is charged via a USB-C cable. There are no brightness adjustments or other modes; it is just a simple ON/OFF constant light.

To attach it to the aircraft, you can easily snap it on by covering the grooves on the front sides of the bottom and the rear section. Since the bottom is flat, landing is safe. I personally attached rubber feet to the four corners.

Numerous LEDs are arranged on the front and sides, brightly illuminating the floor and the area in front.
2. Other accessories
I have attached other convenient items as well, and the ones shown in the photos above are introduced below.
(1) Bumper guard and propeller guard
To make it easier to find in case of a crash outdoors, I attached an orange bumper guard and also replaced the propeller guards with orange ones. You just remove the original guards and replace them.
(2) Front guard
I also chose an orange front guard. Installation is just a matter of inserting it from the front. It seems like it would come off easily in the event of a collision.
(3) USB-C connector cap
This is a cap for connector protection. I was concerned about the charging port being on the bottom for the lighting mentioned above. I also attached a cap to the unit's connector.
(4) Fluorescent reflective tape
Since the aircraft is small, I want to make it as visible as possible.
(5) Items introduced in the past
I have introduced various items in the NOTE below, so please take a look if you like.
3. Afterword
The FLIP was recently released, but since its functions and purpose overlap with the models I already own, I am passing on it for now. My main model is the MINI 3 PRO, but it is small and easy to take out, and there are no particular issues with its performance, so I don't need to upgrade for the time being. Rumors about the MINI 5 are starting to appear, though...
