A Story of a Song -On a Sunny Day-

I realized I've left my note account untouched for nearly a year. It's a bad habit of mine to keep putting things off, using the excuse that I don't have enough time. Well, I have managed to write a few songs in the meantime, so please forgive me for that.

The other day, while I was daydreaming, a new song came to me. I often write lyrics inspired by racehorses, and on that lazy day, a name just popped into my head: "Lovely Day."

The horse's name means "a wonderful sunny day." I thought there was something nice about depicting a day that is just simply sunny. Time just drifts by in the calm atmosphere. It really is just a song about that.

As I was thinking about that, we entered the current state of the world, and while I thought the meaning of the song might have changed a little, the core of it hasn't changed at all.

In these times where we have to be careful about things we used to take for granted, people we used to meet, and in extreme cases, even just breathing, I spend my days feeling the gratitude of "business as usual." I think that when it finally returns to us, it will surely be something even more precious.

The "wonderful sunny days" that come around every so often will surely be just that.
