さがらあつこ（文）／さげさかのりこ（絵）『美術館にもぐりこめ！』（福音館書店）

今回の紹介

　図書館の絵本コーナーで、さがらあつこさん（文）、さげさかのりこさん（絵）『美術館にもぐりこめ！』を見つけました。表紙には、『たくさんのふしぎ傑作集』とあります。
　世の中にたくさんある「ふしぎ」を、子どもにもわかりやすく、専門家の先生が紹介してくださる絵本、『たくさんのふしぎ』は、子どもの頃、楽しみに読んでいました。１９８５年に創刊だそうです。
　今も覚えているのは、ノラネコの一日の観察、ガラスを作る技法や歴史、アナログとデジタル、などです。この絵本で、とりあげられているのは、「美術館」。

　美術館に３人の泥棒が、絵を盗みに忍び込みます。でも、泥棒たちは、なかなか絵を盗めません。読みすすめると、見おぼえのある名画も、あちらこちらに。
　美術館で働いている人たちが、どのように新しい展示を考えて、形にしていくのか。そのために、たくさんのプロが活躍して、美術館を支えていることを、泥棒たちと一緒に学べます。
　学芸員さんからも歓迎されて、泥棒たちはすっかり礼儀正しくなってしまったのが、ほほえましかったです。

English Introduction

I found a picture book at the library, titled “Bijyutsukan Ni Mogurikome！” (“Let’s sneak into the museum!”) by Atsuko Sagara (story) and Noriko Sagesaka (illustrations) published by FUKUINKAN SHOTEN PUBLISHERS, INC. This book is one of the series of “Takusan No Fushigi” (“Many wonders”).

When I was a child, I looked forward to reading "Takusan No Fushigi," a picture book that introduces various "wonders" existing in the world in an easy way for children to understand, written by specialists. It was first published in 1985. I still remember the topics: “the daily life of a stray cat”, “the history and techniques of glass making”, and “analog and digital”, etc.

The subject of the book mentioned above is "art museums."
Three thieves sneak into a museum to steal a masterpiece painting. However, the thieves have a hard time stealing them.
As you read on, you will find familiar masterpieces here and there.

How do curators and staffs organize new exhibitions and put them into shape? Pursuing this goal, you can learn together with the thieves about the many professionals supporting the museums.
In the end, you can see heart-warming moment. The witty welcome by the curators makes the thieves remind of gentlemanship.
