Let's try living just a little bit longer
To you who have found this note
Today ends, and tomorrow comes again.
We rarely realize just how incredible
that simple fact really is.
In our daily lives,
there are days when we can laugh,
and days when we feel hopelessly down.
Carrying things we can't tell anyone,
yet still, without stopping our breathing,
we have lived until today.
I think to myself.
Saying "just being alive is an achievement"
might sound like empty platitudes.
But truly,
being alive,
is an amazing thing in itself.
I myself have thought many times,
that if it hurts this much,
wouldn't it be better to just give up?
There were nights when I was afraid of the morning coming,
and held back tears under my blankets.
Yet now, I can say this:
"I'm glad I'm alive."
It doesn't mean all the painful things were rewarded,
nor that all my problems have been solved.
However,
because there was a version of me that didn't give up back then,
I am now able to
deliver these words to someone.
That is why I want to tell you,
who has found this note.
Right now, you might be
in the depths of suffering.
You might be thinking
that you can't try any harder.
That is precisely why I cannot say anything irresponsible.
I cannot easily say, "It will be okay."
But if this place
could be a place where,
even just a little bit,
you find it easier to breathe.
If these words
could become a trigger for you to think,
"Let's try living just a little bit longer."
Then that alone gives meaning to writing this note.
The days you have lived,
even if no one else knows them,
are irreplaceable.
And that journey of yours
might become hope
for someone else in the future.
To you who made it through today.
Please, just a little bit,
acknowledge yourself.
The fact that you have come this far
is already the "proof."
Tomorrow might come again.
But that just means
you have been given more time
to find something.
Won't you try living just a little bit longer with me?
