What is an 'Animal Welfare Promotion Officer'?
[Animal Welfare Act Article 38]
Animal Welfare Promotion Officer
Prefectural governors, etc., shall endeavor to commission Animal Welfare Promotion Officers from among those who have enthusiasm and knowledge regarding the promotion of the welfare of animals such as dogs and cats in the region.
After passing document screening and an interview, if you are recognized as an Animal Welfare Promotion Officer, you will be commissioned (appointed) by the governor.
<<Activity Details>>
(1) Deepen residents' understanding of animal welfare and proper care for dogs, cats, etc. (including support for lifelong care).
(2) Provide advice to residents regarding surgeries, etc., to prevent the indiscriminate breeding of animals such as dogs and cats.
(3) Deepen residents' correct understanding of animal-derived infectious diseases.
(4) Cooperate with efforts by prefectures, municipalities, etc., regarding the evacuation and protection of animals such as dogs and cats during disasters.
(5) Cooperate with other projects conducted by prefectures, municipalities, etc.

Those who live in the prefecture and meet all of the following (1) to (4).
(1) Those who are 18 years of age or older
(2) Those who have a track record in public awareness activities, etc., regarding animal welfare and proper care
(3) Those who can cooperate with projects implemented by the prefecture and participate in training sessions
(4) Those who can observe confidentiality regarding personal information, etc., learned while performing activities

After that, I checked the prefectural website 👀
checked the application qualifications, details, and requirements for applying~ 👀
and called the prefectural animal welfare centeraround 4:30 PM 🕟
