The Boundary Between Free and Paid Services

A summary of tweets from April 9, 2019. The Toban Natal planetary council discusses the line between what is provided for free and what is provided for a fee. As of 2024, this basic policy remains unchanged.

I provide things for free, but

☆ I put out whatever is left over that day.

☆ On days I bake cake, bags of cake scraps are lined up; on days I bake cookies, bags of broken cookies are lined up.

☆ On days when nothing is left over, nothing is put out.

☆ Available only while supplies last, completely at my whim, and no requests for holds are accepted.

☆ If it's not there, then it's just not there. 🍰

☆ Cakes that aren't scraps and cookies that aren't broken are, of course, for sale.

My natal planetary council: 'What do you think about providing services or products for free?'

4th House Sagittarius 14° Sun: 'Well, I guess I put them out only when I'm in the mood, or rather, when they overflow.'

4th House Sagittarius 21° Venus: 'I'll put them out if it's to release a prototype and see the reaction.'

1st House Virgo 2° Moon: 'To check for flaws that only become visible after putting them out.'

4th House Sagittarius 6° Mercury: 'Sorry for using you as a test subject, okay?'

4th House Scorpio 27° Mars: 'I will accept feedback on what I've put out, but... I cannot respond... to requests to put out other things... because the person I am exchanging free items with... is not yet a customer...'

11th House Cancer 18° Saturn: 'I would do something for free and listen to requests if I were a mother and the other party were my child, but I am no one's mother, am I?'

3rd House Scorpio 1° Uranus: 'I don't provide anything for free to someone to make them happy. I am discounting the price to zero as a thank you for someone giving me something, such as feedback or valuable sample data. There is nothing more expensive than free.'

7th House Pisces 10° Jupiter: 'The information I post on Twitter is basically free, but it's self-service. Feel free to take what's on the rotating plate. When it's not rotating, it means the Toban is sleeping, so it won't rotate until I wake up.'

Q: 'What about making courses free?'

2nd House Libra 9° Pluto: 'That will not happen. The law of equivalent exchange (rumble rumble rumble).'

4th House Sagittarius 14° Sun: 'Our natal vault keeper is Master Pluto, so please understand. However, by the authority of Team Sagittarius, students get a student discount.'

Room 1 Virgo February: "If you are under 18, please share your destination with a guardian or a trusted adult before coming."
