Things Hidden in My Heart
The job of a therapist is my true calling.
Through my hands, the person in front of me
becomes beautiful, is freed from their ailments,
and breaks into a radiant smile.
Is there any other job where one can feel this much happiness?
If possible, I want to remain active for my whole life,
and I want to keep working forever.
That said,
being a therapist is quite physically demanding.
I cannot maintain
this state forever,
and I have begun to feel
the decline of my body little by little.
I believe the time I can no longer provide
the best performance to my clients
is the time to retire as a therapist,
but that might even be tomorrow.
As I get older, I have come to feel
that anxiety quite acutely...
Partly because of that anxiety,
I started using Twitter,
but actually, there is another reason.
“Rescue cat activities”
In our home, we have a cat named Fuku-chan.

She was the only one left without a home, and she was already a bit big.
I wondered if someone would adopt her...
Without worrying at all about
what her situation was, how she was raised,or what would happen afterward,
I had them let me meet her right away,
and we started a trial period.
At first, I was worried about my son, who has allergies,
and how he would react with sneezing and a runny nose,
but there was no option to return her,
and she immediately became our own child.
Since Fuku-chan became part of our family,
I started thinking about rescue cats, euthanasia, and TNR,
and I researched various things from there.
The more I learned about the reality, the more I learned about the
actual conditions that make you want to look away,
and there were times when I felt so
helpless, resentful, angry, and sad,
that I couldn't even control my own emotions and felt pained.
Even while I was suffering,
the reality of cats being euthanized didn't change at all,
and the outdoor cats in harsh situations
are desperate to survive every day.
What I can do
I even thought about seriously building a rescue shelter,
but... in reality, I didn't have the funds or knowledge for that, so I gave up.
There is a limit to doing rescue activities alone.
So, since there are several organizations in the area where I live
that are doing rescue activities,
I thought that perhaps by donating to them,
I could help save lives or be of some use, even if just a little.
Irreplaceable lives
What I can do is
truly very little,
but I still want to do what I can!
When I see Fuku-chan sleeping peacefully at home,
I feel happy,
but at the same time, I also feel a sense of sadness.
I believe that Fuku-chan coming to our home
has given me a new role,
(What I can do)
and I am leaving this thought here
as the reason for starting
my Twitter account.
