Loving Yourself Through Art for a Little While 10
Midsummer... it's so hot...
It's supposed to be summer vacation, but
it's so hot that I don't even have the energy to go outside...
That's exactly when you should stay in your room and
do Zentangle®!!
(I'm saying it again 😊)
This time, it'stangles with straight and curved lines.
If you slowly focus and repeat one by one,
you'll finish your piece!
Here is what you need to prepare ⇓
I'm using a 9cm square, but
10cm or 11cm is also fine!
However, if you're not used to it, it might be better not to go too small.
・Paper (9cm square, drawing paper, etc.)
・Fine-point pen (a ballpoint pen with good ink flow like a SARASA is also good)
・Pencil (preferably a darker one)
・Cotton swab (or tissue paper if you don't have one)
Before you start drawing, firsttake a deep breath
Inhale... Exhale...
For a little while,
begratefulthat you can draw like this...✨
Now, let's go!

This time, too, we won't draw pencil dots or borders,
we'll go straight into pen work.
First, draw one circle somewhere in the middle.
This time, mine is about 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter.

Next, we'll stick a skewer in it (lol)
Draw two lines somewhere in the middle.
In Zentangle, we use "Draw Behind"
to draw as if it's behind what's already been drawn.

In the same way, draw it so that skewers stick out from 6 places
in 3 directions in total.

Draw a similar curve a little away from the first circle.
In Zentangle, we call this an "aura"!

From where you drew the aura, aura the skewer on both sides
with straight lines.

I'll do it on all the sections~

Outside the aura of the circle,
I'll layer another aura of the circle.
Draw it inside the lines!

I'll add an aura to the straight parts again.
It feels like the six lines become five.

Repeat this for another 2-3 layers...

Well then, that's it for the pen work!
Now for the long-awaited shading ♬
Switch to your pencil...
On the parts where the circles overlap,
apply the pencil to the boundary that would be underneath.

Switch to a blending stump,
and in this case,
imagine spreading the pencil graphite outward.
I'll keep adding shadows to the parts that would be underneath the overlaps~

Done~!!
The tangle this time is
"Arcas," which can be drawn with circles and straight lines.
It's a tangle that feels as powerful as sunlight,
and I quite like it too 😊
Making the center circle look like a gemstone
is also a favorite of mine (lol)

I applied pencil around the center circle and to the bottom right.
Then, I retraced the outlines with a black pen.
Placing two Arcas on a rectangular piece of paper
so that the straight lines intersect
is also quite fun ✨

please look at them with squinted eyes.
It's also nice to color the circle in the center with colored pencils!
Of course, you can also leave it white and add shadows
to make it look like a water droplet!

But I don't mind! (← You should mind!)
As I always say,
Zentangle is
No Mistake!
There are no right or wrong answers; each one is art.
Above all, it's a time for you to enjoy yourself
and calm your mind.
In other words,
#WhatIsThisStoryArt
As long as you add this, you're good!!
...maybe (lol)
In your busy days, just a little bit is fine😊
Prepare some paper, a pen, and a pencil,
and pleaseenjoy your "me time"!
