A small hop and a jump

Running with arms spread wide

The curb is a safety zone

The brown tiles on the floor are a giant hole!

Be careful, be careful

I have to cross this narrow bridge!

Don't fall down

Don't let the enemies catch up!

You are surely a little hero right now

With a serious gaze fighting against evil

Without fearing danger

Pushing forward

When I was little, everywhere

Became an obstacle course

And anywhere I went

I could defeat the bad guys

...I wonder when it started

that I could no longer live

in the world I created myself.

without worrying about what others think,

moving just as I please

surely wouldn't be bad.

Afterword

While I was shopping at the supermarket, there was a boy around kindergarten age.

The floor tiles were color-coded, and he was jumping from yellow to white, and though I couldn't hear it clearly, he was striking poses while saying things like 'Hiyah!' 😊

His face was serious.
A face full of motivation.

My child was like that too.
I wonder when they stopped doing that.

Ah!
Come to think of it, I also
believed I would become a hero when I grew up,
so I used to jump off the kotatsu to practice (lol).

Walking along the lines drawn on the road,
'If I fall, it's hell!!'
I'd decide things like that on my own, you know? (lol)

Didn't you do that?
You did, right!?
Huh? Was it just me? No, no way 😊

When I was little, I used to daydream a lot...
Well, maybe because I was physically weak,
I might have had a strong habit of daydreaming 💦

But, I was imagining things freely.

As I grew up,
and started caring about what others think,
I couldn't act like that anymore.

I don't think it's okay to go on a rampage on the street,
and if I suddenly jumped in a crowd,
people would be surprised (lol).

But maybe it's okay to be a bit more liberated.
Free thinking isn't a bad thing.

Since I'm an adult,
there are limits and I need to be sensible,
but just like back in those days when fantasy and reality coexisted,
maybe it's okay to let my thoughts
fly more freely.

That's what I thought
in the food section of a certain supermarket (lol).
