Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy: The Procedure
~Recap of the story so far~
I drank a large amount of laxatives and somehow got the green light after two hours.
I went to the bathroom seven times.
I went seven times before coming to the hospital too, and my bottom is at its limit.
My name was called, I had an IV drip inserted, and I waited for my turn.
The suspense and anxiety continued.

Now, for the main event.
I'm not good with needles, so naturally, I'm not good with IV drips either.
The scariest moment.
The needle stung, and as the IV fluid went in, my arm started to feel cold.
When I told the nurse, she gave me a lovely smile and said, "Oh, it's getting cold? I'll slow it down for you."
Is she an angel?
The waiting time is scary.
I couldn't settle down, staring at the white ceiling, closing my eyes, and shifting my position.
I wonder how long I waited—15 minutes or 30 minutes?
"We're going to move the bed now. It's going to shake."
I was transported to the procedure room.
A place I haven't seen in a while.
Last time, it was just a gastroscopy, and I had a few memories of the beginning. I wonder what will happen this time.
"We'll look at your stomach first, then your colon."
I put something in my mouth.
"We're going to administer the medication now."
Oh no, it's starting!!!
I take one deep breath...
After that, I have no memory...
.....
"It's all over now."
When I realized it, I was back in the place where I first got the IV.
I have absolutely no memory. Amazing!
However, I do have a memory of saying this in the middle:
"Ouch, ouch, ouch, it hurts!"
That was probably during the colonoscopy part...
Thank you, me.
And thank you to the doctor and the nurses.
The results showed nothing in particular, and everything was in good condition.
There was one part that would require surgery if it got any worse, but they said it was the same as before.
Everyone, please take care of your bottoms.
On the way home, the medication was still working, and my body felt wobbly and limp.
I'm usually tense all the time, so I actually felt a bit comfortable.
I took the train home slowly.
Endoscopy is not painful at all, so everyone, please feel free to get it done.
Only the laxatives are a bit tough.
I wonder if I should have stopped eating meat the day before... (´・_・`)
Also, it took from morning until evening, so I think it's a good idea to take a day off for the examination.
Health comes first! Thank you very much!
