I tried boiling Seiryusui water
For the 4th installment of my 'I tried boiling it' project, I chose a local treasure of Morioka that was selected as one of the 100 best waters of the Heisei era: Seiryusui.

It even appeared in the 2007 NHK serial TV drama 'Dondo Hare' ^ ^
However, in June of last year (2020), it made national news when the water stopped flowing...
Fortunately, it started flowing again, but it was an event that made me realize how precious it truly is.

I am also grateful to the residents' organization, the 'Seiryusui o Uruosu Kai' (Association to Enrich Seiryusui), for maintaining and managing this water m(_ _)m
Before I enjoy this precious water, let me review the rules of this 'I tried boiling it' project.
① Drink at room temperature
② Boil over low heat (heat)
③ Drink as warm water (after letting it cool slightly)
To add a note about ②, I continue boiling it for 5 minutes after steam starts to appear.
This is because boiling it slowly and carefully makes for a milder hot water.
First, let's 'drink at room temperature'

If I had to compare it, it's colorless and transparent. It has no off-flavors, yet it's crisp!
It feels like 'blue that is as close to transparent as possible' (by Ryu Murakami).
Next, 'boil over low heat (heat)'
Since I have an induction cooktop at home, I use heat. (Kanakeno iron kettles can also be used on induction cooktops)

And finally, 'drink as warm water'

It remains colorless and transparent, but the crispness is gone, and it feels like the blue has turned into pink. I can taste a faint sweetness in the aftertaste.
If you are curious, please give it a try!
In any case, I felt that having water like this so close by is a great luxury.
This time it was a local treasure, but next time it will be "Zaiho"!

Stay tuned~♪
