I tried reading my 34 CliftonStrengths with AI

I am researching "verbalization" using AI. This is a note where I share tips on utilizing AI🌱

Following the recommendation of a freelance mentor, I read the report for my CliftonStrengths (formerly StrengthsFinder) 34 themes.

I took the test itself two years ago, but at that time, I only looked at the report for my top five themes.

I heard that the 34-theme report also includes a section called "Blind Spots", which covers "things to be careful about". Thinking that sounded interesting, my introspective nature got the better of me, and I purchased it immediately.

Since my previous test results were still saved on the Gallup website, I didn't need to retake the test. I was able to get the report just by paying an additional $45 or so.

【Side note】It seems the name changed from StrengthsFinder to CliftonStrengths. (Why did it change? Wasn't the old one better?)

CliftonStrengths Results

My results look like this. I'll put the top 10 themes in bold.

Input, Intellection, Empathy, Learner, Responsibility
Maximizer, Individualization, Arranger, Strategic, Achiever

The following are ranks 11–30, listed in order.

Deliberative, Futuristic, Ideation, Relator, Belief, Developer, Adaptability, Activator, Self-Assurance, Context, Communication, Includer, Significance, Connectedness, Goal-Oriented, Positivity, Command, Woo, Discipline, Harmony

Finally, the bottom themes.

Analytical, Restorative, Competition, Fairness

Looking at ranks 6–10, I thought, "That makes sense"

Until now, I had only ever looked at my top 5, but seeing the lineup up to 34, I couldn't help but groan in realization. Here are ranks 6–10:

6th: Maximizer
7th: Individualization
8th: Arranger
9th: Strategic
10th: Achiever

Over the past year, friends have asked me things like, "Don't you seem to have themes like Individualization or Arranger?" or "Are you sure you don't have Maximizer?"

At the time, I answered, "I don't think so," but I also felt that I was actually quite good at "Individualization" and "Arranger." Seeing them in my top 10, I felt strangely convinced. My friends' assessments are amazing.

It was interesting to interpret the results with ChatGPT

The next thing that caught my eye was my lowest-ranked strength, "Fairness".

When I asked ChatGPT, "What does it mean to have low Fairness?", it gave me this reply.

In my case, my "Fairness" is low while my "Individualization" is high. According to GPT, this means I tend to think that "since everyone is different, treating them the same is not the best approach."

I thought, that makes a lot of sense.

When I was managing a baseball team, I also thought, "Since every family has different circumstances, it's not right to ask for the same level of contribution from everyone." I'm the type who thinks it's fine as long as each family does what they can. By the way, lower-ranked strengths (around 31st to 34th) are not "weaknesses" or "things you lack," but rather

ways of acting that don't come naturally to youapparently.

Another thing that caught my eye was the relationship between "Futuristic" and "Restorative." I asked how I should interpret "Restorative" being relatively low at 20th place, and it gave me this reply.

I got goosebumps reading this.

When I write on note, I don't often look back at the past. If anything, I write more about "what I am feeling right now" and "what I want to do from here on."

That's why I'm not very good at writing summary articles (I can do them, but they aren't fun), but I get excited writing about experiences I've tried. I really felt how my strengths show up in things like this.

I also dug deeper with ChatGPT into how to interpret the ranking of each individual strength, and it was incredibly interesting!

Well, I know full well that this is just a test and the AI's perspective isn't necessarily correct.

Even so, finding a few points where I think, "That might actually be true!" makes me happy because I feel like I know myself a little better than I did yesterday.

That's all for today's souvenir record from my AI dialogue!

I am not a certified coach, so I cannot provide professional explanations, but I love talking and thinking about strengths together.
