Starting the podcast 'Kamoshidashi' ðŠ Let's have a hot pot party, you and me ð²
Nice to meet you!
Podcast'Kamoshidashi' is starting soon, so I wrote this note! I look forward to your support ðŠ
This is a podcast started by the two of us, Shun-Shun and Moko-chan!
Click here for Moko-chan's self-introduction ðŠ
What kind of show is 'Kamoshidashi'?
It's a show where the two of us talk through everything that's been on our minds or moved our hearts lately. As we unravel things while talking, maybe life lessons will be 'brewed' out ðŠ Or maybe they won't ðŠ
It's that kind of chat show.
The themes are anything goes: lifestyle, work, parenting, partnerships... We'll deal with whatever is simmering in our hearts at the time ^^
â» By 'simmering' here, we mean a state where heat and energy are applied and things are warming up.
We didn't start this show to 'provide solutions' or 'deliver useful information' to society or to you all.
It's like a hot pot party where the two of us bring themes that are simmering in our hearts, warm them up while we talk, and before we know it, a delicious, subtle broth has been brewedâthat kind of show ð² Let's have a hot pot party, you and me.
The show title 'Kamoshidashi' is a coined word combining 'Kamoshidasu' (to brew/bring out) and 'Dashi' (broth). Just as broth forms the foundation of a dish, we aim to be a show that gradually permeates your heart.
Shun-Shun's self-introduction
My name is Yoshishun Geka, hello!
I am currently 34 years old and a father of a 0-year-old daughter.
I am also a coach working on themes of self-determination and breakthroughs.
My vision is 'toward a world full of respect and compassion,' and I live my life having decided to become a resident of that world myself.
As for what respect is like, there is a scene I love in the manga Dragon Ball, which I adore.
It's the scene where Vegeta, who has maintained his pride as the Prince of Saiyans, says to his rival Son Goku (also known as Kakarot), 'Do your best, Kakarot, you are number one!' (Right at the very end of the Majin Buu arc).

I stan him!!!
More recently, at the Winter Olympics, when Alysa Liu won a gold medal, I was deeply moved by the scene where she sincerely celebrated the bronze medal of Japan's Nakai before her own results.

Thank you for such a wonderful scene âžïž
When I got curious and looked up what kind of person she was, I found that Alysa had been fighting in a meritocratic world for a long time, won the US championship at 13, and was noticed by the world, but retired once. However, after becoming a university student, she decided to 'face the competition for her own sake this time' and returned, winning the gold medal at the Milano Olympics.
After her return, she didn't have a worldview of winning or losing against others, but rather one of how much she could express herself. It's wonderful âžïž
I myself have lived right in the middle of a competitive society since I was a child, through entrance exams and club activities. I lived a life where I was expected to win in competition as a matter of course, where having a high academic background or high income (or rather, being good at work) was status, and I was made to feel uncomfortable if I wasn't that way.
At 33, I realized, 'That stuffiness I felt as a student was the stuffiness of having my individuality confined within meritocracy and competition.'
That was when I finally understood why my intrinsic motivation would disappear the moment I entered an environment where I had to compete with others. It also explained why I always felt uncomfortable during my student days.
That's why, for the rest of my life, I want to choose to believe in and continue to express my inner world rather than evaluating myself from the perspective of ability or competition.
However, self-serving self-expression doesn't last long and isn't what I want, so I will continue to challenge myself to find the intersection where my 'simmering' meets value for society.
I believe I can live a life where I express my inner world, believe in what I want to believe, say what I want to say, and as a result, it becomes an activity that is useful to others and society.
And this podcast is one of those experiments.
Basically, work is done in the order of planning, designing, and outputting something that you can do and that is useful to society.
However, the way of life I want to cherish in the future is the opposite.
So, in this show, I am intentionally challenging that 'reverse order'.
It's an experiment where we prioritize putting out our simmering thoughts with high purity, and then see what happens as a result.
I don't know what will happen, but I would be happy if it grows into a place where many people feel they belong in the future.
At the very least, if my daughter listens to this archive in the future and feels, 'Dad was living while thinking about these things,' or 'He was facing parenting with these feelings and conflicts,' that alone is enough to make me happy!
I will introduce Moko-chan
The two of us are neighbors, living about a 10-minute walk away. We are close as families ð
By the way, we originally met when we worked at the same company. Since she was my senior, I called her by her first name, Tomoko-san, and spoke to her with honorifics, but with the background of wanting to redefine our relationship for starting this podcast,Moko-chan is what I've come to call her ð
She is the only person who always praises my humor as a good point ðïž
As a mother of two, she always teaches me about parenting and partnerships ð€±
Many people adore her, and she is a place of belonging and a pillar of support for many. It really comes across that she herself loves many people and is loved in return. (My wife is also taken care of by her.)
There was a long period when I would consult her when I was in trouble and felt, 'Ah, only Tomoko-san understands me.'
Moko-chan's perspective when looking at things, and her way of perceiving the world and society, are truly completely different from mine due to her original background. But I feel there is a mysterious commonality in that the 'way I want to live' cultivated there has become very similar.
A few years ago, we wouldn't have had a relationship where we would do a podcast together, but I am very happy that we met in this way âºïž
Through this initiative, we've become able to share the things we like and our thoughts on our future lives, and I'm so happy!!
She herself has important thoughts and wishes that she holds, so I am very much looking forward to continuing to hear those stories in the future ð»
What were the wishes behind starting this show?
After becoming independent in May 2025, I was spending a career break period and decided to start a podcast because I wanted to create many places to share my worldview.
I've been a radio lover since I was in junior high school, so I had always wanted to do a podcast someday!
When I consulted my wife about it, she suggested I invite Moko-chan and do it together, and it clicked, so I contacted her immediately. It was 22:31 on September 12, 2025.
At first, it was just an impulsive idea to try taking action, but after I sent the message and started expanding on the concrete image, I gained confidence, thinking, 'Wait, this was an impulsive idea, but it's actually really good.'
Thinking, 'Even if I get turned down, I'll regret it if I don't convey this concept in my head and have her consider it!!!', I created project image slides and sent them as a follow-up about 1.5 hours later at 24:07.
Moko-chan found it interesting and said let's have a strategy meeting, and after I conveyed the concept, she agreed!
Both of us took a career break in 2025 and are in the middle of changing how we face work and taking on new challenges starting in 2026. It also coincided with a major life event at the beginning of 2026.
Our personalities seem similar but aren't, yet we also have similar wishes. That combination is the reason why I feel an exquisite sense of expectation about what will happen.
The concept wasn't decided from the beginning. We brought themes we wanted to deepen, and only after recording more than 10 times did we finally decide on it!
So, even though it was decided in September 2025 that we would do a podcast together, I am writing this note in May 2026 ðïž
In the process, we both felt that the 'style of delivering (leaving behind) things that are simmering with heat as they are' was what we were most into, and after many trials and errors, we finally decided on the values of the show we want to cherish!
Talking about what's simmering in real-time is neither easy nor always fun
Talking about what is simmering inside me is actually quite a big challenge for me.
I live in great fear that someone will be hurt by what I say, and the possibility of my dreams being ridiculed or denied when I talk about them seriously also increases.
I am a person who tends to retreat into my own world when I have worries or suffering, so I will be putting out things here that I wouldn't have talked about to people until now.
In particular, the fact that I might hurt someone with my words is clearly my weakness, and it's the place where I forgive myself the least. This still feels difficult, and there are parts of it that I haven't tuned yet.
I can behave in a way that doesn't hurt people by not showing my messy parts, using the social skills I acquired as an adult. However, since I'm just creating a safe, un-me-like version of myself, I don't feel like I'm essentially living as myself.
I have to face the version of myself that I dislike
In this way, both the version of myself I like and the version I cannot forgive truly exist within me, and I am constantly aware of my own immaturity in the parts that have not yet been integrated.
As an adult, I can behave safely and live while keeping my distance from the version of myself I dislike.
However, if I keep my distance, it is certain that I will never be able to live in the 'world overflowing with respect and compassion' that I wish to live in. Seeing my wife giving birth at the risk of her life and my newborn daughter struggling to live, I was forced to re-examine what kind of life I want to lead, and I realized I no longer want a safe, unremarkable life ðŠ
One day, while preparing for the official release of the show, we were sharing our thoughts on future task distribution and how we approach our work and lives, and I ended up making a comment to Moko-chan that lacked respect. I had a different intention, but as a result, I let a word slip out without choosing it carefully.
Moko-chan honestly told me, 'That was unpleasant' and 'That felt off,' and I apologized immediately. I had directed a blade-like comment at someone close to me, and I felt such self-loathing that, unusually, it lingered for a while.
The worldview of ability and competition, and the worldview of respect liberated from thatâthese two still exist separately within me, and I have a sense that they have not yet been integrated.
And when I decide to put everything out there, including the things that are simmering in real-time, sometimes those blade-like things come out unintentionally.
The 'simmering' I talk about includes these kinds of conflicts and hesitations. It is also an expression of my feeling that in order to head toward the world I want to live in, I will no longer gloss over the version of myself I dislike when it shows its face. I want to share things without any lies or falsehoods.
I plan to reveal the raw, unpolished reality that I am currently facing as part of what is 'simmering'.
This show will be a place where I deliver everything as it is, including the parts I am struggling with.
These are not stories that have already been resolved, but stories that are currently in progress, still in the middle of simmering. We will bring them together, keep them warm, and I would be happy if we could receive what emerges from that together with those who listen.
I want to make merchandise and hold offline events
First, we will start by delivering our 'simmering' in real-time.
Since we're at it, I'll just go ahead and say what I want to do: I want to make merchandise and hold offline events! I want to interact with all of you who listen~!

I'm posting this because I also want to practice saying things like 'I want to hold an event' out loud without feeling embarrassed.
By continuing this practice of 'talking about everything' that we are doing together, I am very much looking forward to arriving at a place we never imagined when we started ð
In the hearts of you who have listened to our 'simmering,' there must be your own 'simmering' as well.
I would be even happier if your body temperature rises a little, you become aware of your own 'simmering,' and you talk about it to others or start something new.
By the way, I hope to realize a world overflowing with respect by increasing the number of people who are obsessed with their own 'simmering.' I believe that people who cherish what is important to them do not make comments that kick others down, and they genuinely feel like supporting others when they see them chasing their dreams.
First, I will challenge myself through this podcast to embody that figure before anyone else ð§
I will make this a light, deep, but still light program that is easy to listen to while doing housework or taking a walk. Please enjoy listening~! Thank you!!
