At the Everyone's Off-Grid Research Institute, we call anyone who enjoys living comfortably and happily while using as little energy as possible for the future and without burdening the global environment—not just those who build or live in off-grid houses—an "off-grister."
Off-grid rate (electricity self-sufficiency rate): 88%!!
Last March the off-grid rate (electricity self-sufficiency rate) was 97%, so our performance dropped compared to last year (crying).
Power generation was about the same as last year (436 kWh last year → 429 kWh this year), but the cause of our defeat was that it got cold all at once from March 3rd to 5th, and because of the snow and rain, the battery charge was completely depleted, forcing us to buy 40 kWh of electricity over three days (crying).
This year, the cold weather lasted longer than last year, so...
However, that was only until early March, and we were able to live almost entirely off-grid from mid-to-late March.
But the room temperature remained stable.
Starting this month, we can now display not only the average temperature but also the maximum and minimum temperatures in the summary!!
The average outside temperature in March was 10.9°C, but it was quite a peaky outdoor situation, ranging from a high of 25.3°C to a low of 1.8°C. In contrast, the indoor temperature averaged 22°C, remaining within a comfortable range between a high of 27.7°C (lol) and a low of 17.3°C.
Humidity also fluctuated between 34% and 62%, with an average of 48%, so we didn't really feel any dryness.
A good season for off-grid living is about to begin.
After March, the spring atmosphere will become more intense, and the sun will be much better. Last year, our off-grid rate improved from April, and we hit 100% in May and September. I'm looking forward to this year too.
Oh, I plan to change the operation method and collect data starting May 1st this year.
