My Way of Dealing with Doctors
When you get sick, you go to the hospital.
What's important there is whether you can fall in love with that doctor.
Some people might think, "What's that?" but this is "my way," so please don't worry about it.
In other words... ← That sounds pretty arrogant, lol.
If you can't come to like the doctor, you'll start hating to go to the hospital.
Moreover, you won't be able to trust their diagnosis.
Eventually, you stop going to the hospital.
Once you have a day where you don't go, you just think, "Forget it."
I have a tumor in my brain, and it happened exactly as I described above.
The doctor was incredibly haughty, with an attitude of "I'm the one treating you."
Even though it was a brain tumor, and a fairly large one at that, he threw me into despair by saying, "There's no way it's going to shrink!"
When someone says something like that, it makes me think, "What the hell, you jerk!" lol
I guess he doesn't understand that it's all about how you say things.
No matter how much I tried to get along with him, he kept up that "I'm a doctor!" attitude, and when COVID happened, I took it as a lucky break and stopped going to that hospital.
That was seven years ago.
When I got breast cancer, I thought, "This is the perfect time to switch hospitals," and when I changed, I met a doctor I really liked and started treatment.
If I had left it alone like that, it might have been dangerous.
That's why compatibility with a doctor is extremely important.
My daughter is the same; my ASD daughter is very sensitive.
She seems to have a sense for these things, and she makes choices by saying, "I hate this hospital" or "This doctor is scary."
Usually, when my daughter says "I hate them, they're scary," I'm feeling the exact same thing.
So my daughter has also switched hospitals.
And the doctors I hate are the very ones who insist on making definitive diagnoses.
"I've seen so many patients!"
They carry that kind of air about them.
As for me, even if they've seen many patients, I think, "This is our first time, right?
You're meeting my daughter for the first time, and you don't know her specific traits, do you?"
I can't trust a doctor who knows about the disease but doesn't see the human being.
Now, because of my pickiness, I've changed hospitals, and both my daughter and I have been able to meet doctors we can trust.
Thanks to that, the treatment is going well, I think. No, it's definitely going well, lol.
Come to think of it, it's the same with veterinarians.
Once, my cat fell down the stairs and broke its hip bone.
Even cats fall, right? lol
My regular vet was away, so I looked for another hospital and went there, but even though the cat was saying it hurt, the vet kept poking and prodding the affected area.
I can't trust this guy!
Anger welled up, and the next day I went to my usual hospital.
My regular vet doesn't dare touch the animal if it looks like it's in pain.
"It hurts, doesn't it? Yeah, I know."
He says things like that.
I thought, "This is the doctor I can trust," and since then, I haven't cheated on my vet.
Meeting a doctor you can trust is an important thing, and maybe meeting such a doctor is fate.
Are you saying I'm being pretentious? lol
No, I think I said something pretty clever, so don't worry about it lol
