Green Pepper Anniversary

Since getting older, I've developed the habit of taking a bath early.
The reason is that taking one at night feels a bit scary.
The lights are on, but it feels like something might appear.

You might laugh at what I'm saying, but I can't help it.
What's scary is scary.

And today, I took a bath at 4:00 PM.
It's bright outside, and there's no way anything could threaten me at this hour.

However, the bathroom door opened softly.
W-what?!
A face peeking in halfway through the gap.

"Mom, should I cut up some vegetables?"

I knew from the voice that it was my daughter, but half a face is still scary lol.

But, what do you mean by cutting up vegetables?

Me: "For dinner?"

Daughter: "Yeah."

Me: "You don't know what to cut, do you?"

So, we decided that we would do it together once I got out of the bath.
Still, my daughter, who has been struggling mentally, picking up a kitchen knife on her own—what on earth happened?

She said she's going out with friends tomorrow, so she probably won't be slicing herself up, but still.

When I got out of the bath, I heard some noise in the kitchen.
When I peeked in, oh my goodness!
She was actually cutting green peppers!!!

So, we stood in the kitchen together, but she didn't even finish half before saying "I'm tired" and retreating.
That's fine, though.
It's okay even if she could only do a little bit.

After all, until now, she couldn't even stand in the kitchen.
She thought to help out on her own.
And since she thought about making things a little easier for her mom, there's no way I couldn't be happy.

Mom will celebrate this great change to the fullest.

So, I ended up finishing it alone after that lol.
It really is tiring, isn't it?
I was mostly lying down today too, but the fatigue just won't go away.
I can't beat my age.

And so, today is the "Green Pepper Anniversary" lol.

Daughter: "What is that anniversary? Your naming sense!"

Leave me alone lol.
