Horibun Screening Event After-Talks Announced!
The "Horibun Screening Event," starting Wednesday, October 8, 2025, will feature after-talk sessions! Following the final performances on Wednesday the 8th, Thursday the 9th, and Friday the 10th, we will be joined by guests with close ties to writer and director Junya Kamata.
※ There will be no after-talk sessions on Saturday the 11th or Sunday the 12th.
After the screening of "Ichido Shika" on Wednesday, October 8 (starts at 19:00)
Kenji Yamauchi (Shiroyama-no-kai / Film Director) and Horibun (Yuri Kawakami, Keiko Sumii)
On Wednesday, October 8, the first day of the screening event, we will be joined by playwright and film director Kenji Yamauchi, whom Junya Kamata deeply admired, along with Horibun's Yuri Kawakami and Keiko Sumii. It is said that Kamata had been a fan of Mr. Yamauchi since he first saw him appearing in TV commercials in his teens.
After the screening of "Ushikunuma" on Thursday, October 9 (starts at 19:00)
Yu Nagashima (Novelist)
On Thursday, October 9, we will be joined by novelist Yu Nagashima. We plan to have Mr. Nagashima, who was Junya Kamata's teacher during his time at Bunka Gakuin, share stories from when Kamata was a student. Incidentally, the portrait above was drawn by Kamata and is also used in the profile section of "Nakanai Onna wa Inai" (Kawade Bunko).
After the screening of "Koreshiki" on Friday, October 10 (starts at 19:00)
Kitaro (Actor), Naoki Matayoshi (Piece)
On Friday, October 10, we will be joined by Kitaro and Naoki Matayoshi. In addition to their long-standing familiarity with the theater of Nakago and Horibun, both also appeared in "Katatoki," which was performed at the Kinokuniya Hall in February 2022. We will ask them about their experiences and behind-the-scenes stories from being directed by Kamata during rehearsals and on stage.
The interviewer for all days will be writer Yukie Ikari.
