The 'Sigh of Relief' on Holidays, Contrasted with the Weekday Endurance Race
I love to eat.
I love to cook.
I also love beer.
I have many hobbies, but I truly feel that being able to take an interest in 'food' is a blessing in itself.
During the day, I often share meals with colleagues, which is enjoyable in its own way.
It fills both my stomach and my heart.
However, as someone who is greedy for food, I also enjoy facing it alone.
But on weekday nights, I rarely have the luxury of enjoying my food.
That is precisely why, on holidays, taking a breather with a meal in between my side jobs is a small pleasure of mine.
For weekend lunch, I might try baking pancakes.

Looking at it in a photo like this, it looks kind of like a cafe, right?
It's my adult 'pretend play.' Hehe. Lol.
The topping isn't vanilla ice cream... but Greek yogurt.
I pile on the kinako (soybean flour), drizzle some honey quickly, and it's an instant cafe-style dish.
Lately, I've been fond of high-protein yogurt.
'Whether it's delicious or not is beside the point, but I can eat it calmly and it makes me feel good.'
That kind of thing.
If I add a salad to that, the lunch set is complete.

I paired sweet potatoes with a soy sauce-based dressing, so it turned out with a 'Japanese' finish.
It would have been perfect if I had a drink with it, though.
I had already finished my iced coffee before lunch.
That's my little cafe-pretend play for one.
My everyday meals are actually really messy.
I just pick out some steamed bamboo basket dishes or a salad to make it look a little bit 'presentable.'
For some reason, I've become incredibly exhausted.
Perhaps it's partly due to the outrageous heat, but the biggest factor is being tossed around by my main job.
On top of that, my biorhythms are out of sync. The exhaustion has doubled.
Being a woman is really tough, isn't it... right?
I know I'll recover as time passes.
So I'm just 'muddling through' for now, but I sometimes wonder if that's really for my own good.
To all the women and mothers out there.
How do you face yourselves during times like these?
There aren't many places where you can really open up and talk about things like this, are there?
It's a bit rambling, but I wanted to be a little open and talk about it today.
I'm pressing the 'Publish' button.
Let's do our best.

Actually, when things are tough, I think it's okay to pamper yourself.
This is a story about how to face yourself👇
