Kushikatsu Daruma (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture)

Good morning.

I would like to continue writing about places I have visited in the past, so thank you for your support.

Today is about "Kushikatsu Daruma".

The date and time I visited was... January 26, 2020.

For me, when I think of Osaka, I think of...
Osaka Castle. Universal Studios. Takoyaki.

And "Kushiage".

Every time I drink in Osaka at night, I always choose "Daruma" without fail.

I wonder which Daruma I went to back then?

The photo I used for the top image is the Namba main store.

However, I don't think the store I visited this time is the 'Namba main store'.

Hmm, I can't remember which store I visited.

For now, I'll quench my parched throat with a beer.

And from the top, cheese, pickled ginger, and pork skewers.

And actually, when I visited back then, it was still before the COVID-19 pandemic.

I believe it was right around the time the Diamond Princess docked at Yokohama Port.

So...

It's hard to see, but it was still an era where you could dip your food directly into the sauce to eat it.

Also, when you come to Daruma, 'doteni' (beef tendon stew) is a must-have.

Since double-dipping is prohibited... I'll soak it thoroughly and eat it.

In addition to the initial order, I also got "asparagus"

"quail eggs"

Hmm?? What is this??
Is it "whiting"...?

I ate plenty of other things too~~

Personally, my favorites are the "pork skewers" and "pickled red ginger".

Daruma is truly delicious.

I think for a split second every time, 'Should I try a different place?', but...
I end up going to Daruma after all.

A place where you can truly smile after eating delicious kushikatsu... that is Daruma.
