A Place Where Memories Live
On the day of graduation
Only the daffodils placed on the podium
watched the scene in silence
In the schoolyard gazed upon by a trembling back
cherry blossoms in full bloom
The graduation ceremony I welcomed as a teacher
Without a diploma
a graduation ceremony for just one person
The sound of footsteps leaving the classroom
pausing then starting to walk again
fading away beyond the stairs
Outside the window, the sunset glow
An empty classroom
lingering emotions
A place where memories live
