[Self-Introduction] I thought starting a business would give me both money and time

Hello.
I am Kazuki Kaieda, a Web Marketing Consultant.

I started a side business while I was a company employee and launched my own business at the age of 27.

At the time, I thought that once I started my own business, I would no longer have to worry about interpersonal relationships,
and I would have both money and time to spare.

But the reality was a little different.

Driven by the anxiety of unstable sales, I spent every day working hard on social media posts and campaigns.

Even though I was a newlywed, I worked from morning until late at night.

My annual sales in my first year of business were 23 million yen.
Looking at the numbers alone, I think it was a decent result.

However, I didn't have the "financial freedom" or "time freedom" I had envisioned,
and I felt like my life had only improved slightly compared to when I was a company employee.
That was about the extent of it.

I want to exceed 100 million yen in annual sales. But it's impossible the way things are now.

Since I started a business, I wanted to try and exceed 100 million yen in annual sales.
That was something I had been thinking about ever since.

But even if I kept working hard using my current methods,
I couldn't imagine achieving 100 million yen in annual sales at all.

Post more.
Hold more seminars.
Run more campaigns.
Try harder with more grit.

There is a limit to that.

I had to change the way I was doing things itself.

Thinking that, I researched consultants who had exceeded 100 million yen in annual sales,
and I found that many of them were using web advertising to attract customers.

My self-taught web advertising ended in a disastrous result

At first, I started web advertising by trial and error.
The result was that it didn't work at all.
I couldn't attract customers and ended up with a 300,000 yen deficit.

From there, I received consulting on web advertising,
and I became able to collect email newsletter subscribers.

But this time, the ads weren't generating sales.
It was a deficit again.

However, thanks to the ads, the number of email newsletter subscribers had increased by an order of magnitude.
So I thought to myself.

If I can just build a system that properly sells the backend
after attracting customers, this should work!!!

Over the next six months, I conducted over 100 tests.

Ads, landing pages, emails, individual consultations, sales, conversion rates, and application rates.

I looked at everything through numbers and kept improving.

As a result, I started receiving 10 to 14 applications for individual consultations every day,
and my monthly sales grew at a pace of more than doubling every month,
reaching 1 million, 3 million, 5 million, and 10 million yen.
My sales continued to grow at a pace of more than doubling every month.

Then, in my second year of business, I achieved annual sales of 140 million yen.

My personal income also jumped from 6 million yen to 30 million yen per year.

From there, by creating a system that sells through web advertising, I was able to exceed 100 million yen in annual sales for eight consecutive years.

Living with my wife and three children
as my top priority

What I really wanted to change wasn't just sales.
I also wanted to cherish my time with my family.

When my eldest daughter was born and I held her for the first time, I decided this:
From now on, I will live with my family as my top priority.

From that point on, I decided to only work until 3:00 PM.
From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, I work with focus in the ideal office I envisioned.

After 3:00 PM, I spend time with my family.
In between work, I go to the gym, watch movies, and enjoy time outside of work as well.

Not just entrepreneurship,
in my case,by creating a system that increases sales,
I was finally able to gain freedom of time
.

Why am I starting a note now?

Up until now, I have practiced information dissemination and customer acquisition in various forms,
such as websites, email newsletters, advertisements, landing pages, and school management.

Even so, I decided to start a note this time.

The reason is that I wanted to connect with new people.

And another reason is that
I want to constantly be conducting new experiments myself.

In this day and age, what kind of words will reach people?
What kind of themes will get a reaction?
What kind of people will I meet?

I want to test that out.

Thankfully, I have had people tell me in the past that
"Kaieda-san, your writing is interesting,"
"The behind-the-scenes of business is realistic and helpful,"
and "Your way of thinking is educational."

On note, I want to write not only about web marketing and advertising, but also about what I think about every day, what I am experimenting with, and what has gone well or failed.

So that wonderful services can reach the people who need them

The reason I teach how to systematize web marketing is
because I think it is a waste for wonderful services
to remain buried simply because they are not known.

The person is wonderful.
The service is wonderful.
They have passion for their customers.

Yet, they are not reaching the people who need them simply because they cannot attract customers.

I have seen many such people.

Instead of just working hard on social media,
and not just relying on grit and determination,
I want to deliver value to those who need it by using advertising and systems.

I would like to share such ideas and tips from now on.

Thank you for your support.

Kazuki Kaieda
