The Near-Ruined Reality I Experienced When I Tackled FX by Entering 'Just Because'—The End of Relying on Intuition, Lack of Planning, and Disregarding Rules

When I first started FX, I kept entering trades 'just because.' My decisions were based entirely on intuition—like thinking 'it looks like it might go up' or 'isn't it about to drop?' after reading the news—and to be honest, there was almost no basis for them.
At the time, I had just decided to quit my job as a company employee and work as a full-time trader. I was happy to be able to look at charts during the day, so I would sit in front of my computer and click to enter trades whenever I felt like it. Looking back now, it was the height of 'lack of planning.'

But there was no way that kind of trading could last. While I repeated wins and losses, I noticed my funds were gradually dwindling... I remember looking at my account balance one day and bursting into tears. It felt as if I were whittling away my own future without even realizing it.

What's especially scary is losing your composure after a string of losses and panicking, thinking, 'I have to win this back.' This is also a classic example of disregarding rules. Since I hadn't set any rules, I had nothing to follow. That's why my actions were always driven by emotion, and my days felt like riding a roller coaster.

It took me a considerable amount of time, and above all, courage, to break free from that situation. FX is fundamentally something that should be approached with a strategy and a plan. But even before that, I realized it's very important to have a 'core' within yourself. Instead of seeking answers in the outside world, I developed the habit of asking my own heart, 'Why am I entering this trade now?' That was my turning point.

In trading, it's easy to get distracted by flashy methods and tools, but in reality, 'mindset' is the most important foundation. How you deal with your own emotions and what your 'satisfactory criteria for judgment' are. Without sorting these things out, no matter how excellent a method you have, it likely won't mean anything.

I'm still inexperienced myself, and when I let my guard down, the temptation to trade 'just because' rears its head. But that's exactly when I try to re-ask myself, 'Is this really an entry I can be satisfied with?' While cherishing my slightly girly side, I face the market without pushing myself, but with sincerity. That is my stance now.

Please, don't let yourself be swallowed by 'just because' either.
FX might be like a somewhat strict teacher for facing yourself deeply.
