If you can't win at FX, let go of your obsessions right now! Keep your work and investments on the safe side!

Alongside my FX trading, I've been obsessed with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! I'm a model student (at Mario Kart), with a ratio of about 2:8 for FX time versus Mario Kart time. Since most of my regular trading is non-discretionary (I'll write about the details later), I can actually get by with that.
Furthermore, with Nintendo supposedly releasing the Nintendo Switch 2 soon, and a Mario Kart World (will it be MKW?) also coming out, lately I really couldn't care less about the market, Mr. Ueda from the Bank of Japan, or Mr. Trump!

I'm sorry. I actually care quite a lot. But you know? That obsession of yours where you say, "I love Mario Kart and I play it all the time!"—which to others might sound like,

"I don't care! Go play it on your own!"

—that kind of hobby can actually be incredibly important.

The surprising relationship between FX and games

I think FX and games (including gambling games) have a high degree of correlation.
That's because FX also has game-like elements.
What if it wasn't about managing money, but rather a brain-training game where you increase your score, and if it drops, you cut your losses and try to increase it again?
Don't you think it would probably be super popular?
Especially when it comes to scalping, the game-like nature is really high.
And when there's a game-like nature, there's something that emerges in people who are perfectionists or serious.

That's right, it's obsession.

Honestly, in the past, I had some really strange obsessions too.
Can't you only win with Gold?
Looking back, I personally think it was really scary, but there was a time I couldn't get away from Gold scalping. I imagine those of you who know FX well and have a stable trading mindset might have been worried, thinking, "Kaerun, why are you doing that?" However, at the time, I thought Gold was life! because I could get decent price movements in a short time, and even if I was slightly wrong about the direction, the high volatility often helped me by bringing the price back.

Of course, I knew it in my head. Fiat currency is safer, I should be doing it with Euro-Dollar or something. But somewhere in my heart, I might have felt it was like a game where I could make a profit or recover losses all at once with Gold, and in a way, it felt like an addiction.

Now I can say it clearly and proudly.

You don't need that kind of obsession in FX; FX is not Mario Kart!

So, I try to keep my strange obsessions for Mario Kart. Lately, I've been exclusively using a less popular custom setup with Baby Rosalina as the driver, staging underdog stories against the world night after night.

When you have these kinds of strange hobbies to get obsessed with, you can really suppress those impulses you sometimes get in FX to do something stupid.

If possible, trade without emotion in FX, and vent your obsessions elsewhere.
