"The Coaching Habit"
"Change your team with just 7 phrases!"
Why am I so weak against words like these...?
I picked it up thinking, "Is 7 really enough?!"
I recently started learning coaching.
"Questioning skills" are very intriguing!
By the way, this book isn't just for people who coach,
but I think it can be used by anyone
at work, at home, or in hobby groups,
as long as you wish for the other person's learning, realization, and growth.
Since we live in connections with others,
whether face-to-face, online,
via LINE, or by letter, "dialogue" occurs.
People who are aware that they tend to talk only about themselves
should read this, of course, but so should those who aren't aware, like me.
Then, you will realize. How talkative you are.
And how much you have been allowed to talk.
When I think about that, I feel nothing but gratitude toward the other person!
At the same time, I realized that the way to repay them is not by talking,
but by listening. Thank you always.
Now, the 7 questions are:
1. The Kickstart Question: What's on your mind?
2. The AWE Question: And what else?
3. The Focus Question: What's the real challenge here for you?
4. The Foundation Question: What do you want?
5. The Lazy Question: How can I help?
6. The Strategic Question: If you're saying yes to this, what are you saying no to?
7. The Learning Question: What was most useful for you?
That is all.
There were questions I use regularly, and some that were new to me.
By doing things that are unknown, I broaden my own horizons.
I am currently living my life while being conscious of coaching-style interactions.
I can reaffirm the value of what I've done until now,
and what I haven't done before is full of discoveries and interesting.
So, I really want to talk to people!
