How do you read “金打”? | How to create time to “get things done” without relying on motivation
Good evening.
This is Izumi Maekawa, your life coach🌿
“金打”
……How do you read this? (lol)
Kin-uchi?
Kane-da?
Kon-da?
You might think of various things, but
actually...
👉 It is read as “kincho (kin-uchi)” (lol)
📚 Shiba-san’s “Keio Nagasaki Jiken”
I learned this by listening to Ryotaro Shiba’s
“Keio Nagasaki Jiken” (Audible).
It is a work depicting the Keio Nagasaki Incident (Icarus Incident) that occurred in Nagasaki at the end of the Edo period.
I thought I had read a fair amount of historical novels, but
I never imagined that “kincho” was written as “金打,” so I was quite surprised.
Even in fields I think I know a little about,
there is still so much I don’t know😊
The content was a bit like a mystery, and it was interesting~
I plan to keep listening to Shiba-san’s works✨
🐢 Want to read but can’t get started—what should you do?
For some people, finding time to read books in their daily life
can be quite difficult.
・I meant to read, but ended up looking at my smartphone
・I was too tired to open the pages
・Before I knew it, my pile of unread books kept growing…
I can read as much as I want when it comes to reading for pleasure without being asked,
but for things like “reading for work,”
I inevitably feel pressured to “read it properly,” and it ends up being put off💦
💡 Set boundaries for time and environment, and get into the flow
I want to read it, but I can't make progress.
Here is a recommendation for times like that👇
🧭 Time to “make progress” little by little through systems, not motivation
📌 A 90-minute session to increase your “progress” little by little without relying on motivation
| A casual, quiet session to work on Quadrant II tasks (Online)
🗓 Thursday, February 12, 2026, 20:00–21:30
📍 Online (Zoom) - Capacity: 5 people
💰 Participation fee: Free
In this session,
Read a little of the book you wanted to read
Open a notebook to organize your thoughts
Start working on something you've been putting off
and so on...
We will work on those things that aren't urgent but are important to you
casually and steadily, without relying on willpower.
☕ Last time...
The themes everyone brought happened to be related to reading, so we were able to get a taste of the books other participants were reading, and I was reminded again of how beneficial that is (lol).
📈 Small actions naturally become the power to move forward
Honestly, if you do it, you will make some kind of progress.
You will get some kind of result for it.
If that's the case,
thinking about how to “make progress easily” is an important thing.
If you increase your points of contact with that task,
naturally, the probability of completing the task will also increase.
🌿 Finally
I hope this becomes a
“catalyst to move your actions forward” for you, for your own sake.
Likes and follows are also very encouraging😊
I look forward to seeing you again.
See you then~🙌🙌🙌
